McConnell has been getting just too many passes for all his corrupt, egregious, blatant abuse of power for too long. I’m hoping for once the media won’t let him get away with it, this time around. Just too much is at stake. Not that the turtle gives a fuck, the man is a living embodiment of evil and shamelessness. But given that we have no procedural measures to stop it, at the very least it must be made to be a losing, devastating issue for Fuckface and the GOP as the midterm approaches.

DJT often uses this language of feelings-control. “You should be free from the fear of attack” is not “You should not be attacked.” It’s strange. Here he is in his tweet about how safe we were after his NorK talks:
“JUST IN: President Trump tweeted this morning that now that he has returned from the important and historic US-NK meeting, people can feel safe as there is no longer a nuclear threat from North Korea.” He should say “You are now safe from…” or “North Korea cannot attack us.” Because that’s the only way that feeling would be based in reality. .
(Of course he changed that later his claim.)
I guess when your only feeling is jealous rage, and it consumes you, feelings are paramount.

As if there is ever any hope of getting Congress to pass a law like this but it should be illegal for any Congress person’s anything - wife, husband, son, daughter, sister, cousin - to go to work for the current administration.
This is insane.
Actually why isn’t it a violation of Separation of Powers for justices of the SCOTUS or Congresspeople to have friends or relatives hired by a current administration? The obvious opportunity for influence it creates should make it unconstitutional.

I’m not sure if he is necessarily aware and deliberate. Natural dictators, without exceptions, use such manipulative languages effortlessly, and too often that’s effective. People act emo, and people vote emo.

And the blind authoritarian Republican “morality” follows lock step. There has never in the history of a society been this level of absolute bald corruption. They want us to believe there are no rules of law, and they are getting there with breath taking speed. The people en masse are the obvious hope.
