He’s dumb, for sure, but in this case, I wouldn’t automatically assume that the GOP senate won’t force some of these nominees through anyway.

Brownback should be ambassador at large for fiscal irresponsibility instead. It’s a position he’s most qualified for.
To insure the failure of home schooling movement, put Brownback in charge of it.
With McCain and Thad Cochran (I’m assuming he has some form a cancer that is not going well) out, the Senate is now 49/49, right?
I really don’t think McCain will be back to DC, and Cochran is a mystery.
Cochran may have Trumpheimer’s disease. They said he was very confused recently.
McCain’s 81, his daughter and others said he’d be back in January, but he is dying. His brain tumor in incurable. Cochran’s 80, not retiring, or so he says but his condition is not going to get much better at that age.
I wish him a long life, as these things go.

Can’t these two, with all the health problems they’re experiencing, enjoy the rest of their lives somewhere than other on the Senate floor? Aging slows down everything, and the cognitive process most of all.
