Discussion: Trump Refuses To Back Down From McCain Comments

Discussion for article #238558

Wish el Donalodo wouldn’t keep doubling down on classless, since the GOP really deserves to run him in the general election.

Just ten days ago, millions of self-identified Republicans would have claimed they were Trump lovers. By Friday, you’ll be hard-pressed to find more than a handful that will admit they ever had any affection for him.

Said it before and I’ll say it again - you pander to the crazy demo for a couple decades and your chickens will eventually come home to roost. Life is, to borrow their favorite phrase, shoving Trump down their throats.

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t McCain’s Republican “friends” say much worse about him (ahem, George W. Bush) than this? I find all of the GOP candidate’s outrage extremely convenient and hypocritical.

If Trump doesn’t decline in the GOP national polls then we know we are dealing
with a new species of crazy in the GOP…

I’m not so sure. I’ve been looking around and what I’m seeing is, “Well, at least he says what he thinks,” Many TeaBaggers don’t like McCain because he isn’t “conservative” enough. Loyalty is not their strong point.

Shorter Donald ;
Bush /Rove didn’t apologize in 2000 when they trashed McCain in the the South Carolina primaries smear campaign (he was crazy, a traitor, he fathered a black child) that helped Bush win the 2000 Republican nomination . Nor did the apologize for swift-boating a genuine Purple Heart recipient and hero John Kerry .
They didn’t do it , why should I

Whether saying what one thinks is a virtue depends on what one thinks. Two year olds generally say exactly what they think, but that doesn’t qualify them to be president.

I’m not so sure either. I’m guessing that many Democrats who’ve been 100% their entire lives will vote for Trump if Trump and Hillary are the 2 candidates. I would, mostly because all GOP are racists but Trump is honest about it. And Hillary is another Obama / dubya, both vicious lying idiot cowards. Trump is maybe an idiot, but not vicious and is not going to continue invading innocent countries worldwide. I support Trump because all we’ve had are dishonest clowns for years in the White House. Trump is a clown too, but a more honest one overall, and by far more transparent than any other candidate except Bernie, whom I support until he wins. I pray he gets the nomination and not Hillary who will make voting Democratic difficult. Obama has ruined the Democrats for me, until Bernie.

This could be the year the GOP implodes under the weight of it’s own stupidity. I could very much see Trump winning the nomination, and if not him then Cruz. The RNC doesn’t run the party anymore, the media runs that party, Rush and Laura Ingram and all the actors on Fox news run that party now. And they want ratings.

McCain wasn’t a hero because he was captured. He was a hero because he behaved heroically while in captivity. Once again, T-Rump doesn’t get it. I wonder how you say “putz” in Spanish.

Why is being honest about racism a good thing? I hate to bring up the H-guy, but wouldn’t it have been far better if his hatred of Jews had been merely a campaign stunt?

I agree. I thought Trump didn’t have a chance when he started his campaign. Now, with all other GOP candidates almost the same person, Trump stands out as exceptional, in his own way - predictable in a sense, and transparent / speaks his mind. He is not owned by the NSA and Jamie Diman of JP Morgan, not owned by anyone, unlike all the other candidates except Bernie, seems to me. If Bernie isn’t the Democratic candidate, I do see the party implode - and the GOP give them a serious challenge, and I don’t blame anyone for crossing over to vote Trump. I will, if Hillary runs against him. Otherwise, I want Bernie there to manage this country. Obama is a mere project manager for BofA and NSA, and reads only their scripts. Obama has no mind of his own.

Yawn…

Would you mind listing the things that Obama did that ruined the Democratic Party for you? Excluding ObamaCare, and fixing the broken economy, and getting nuke deal signed with Iran, of course. Oh, and his Supreme Court appointments.

What you’ve said makes no logical sense to me no matter which way I come at it. You really think T-Rrump and his policies would leave the US and the world in a better place than Hillary and her ideas? T-Rump has no clue as to what the presidency is about. Voting for him instead of any Democrat is just nuts.

Have you looked at how the “Trumpettes” are defending him at Red State, Free Republic and BreitFART?

These are the same crazies whose parents were Goldwater supporters in 1964!

Just wait for that first GOP debate when Trump tears apart everyone on that stage. The crowd will go wild and cheer him like he was Elvis reincarnated!

Good idea. Let’s let T-Rump appoint the next batch of Supreme Court justices. There’s a recipe for success.
