Corker looks like he knows something terrible. For some reason, he can’t say what it is, but his reply about supporting Trump again looked less like “This guy doesn’t know what he’s doing” than “No, he’s a bad guy, and you will see what I mean shortly.”

I think that is a viable scenario. Sure, Corker despises the leader of his party, but I agree this latest slug fest was prompted by Trumps continuing melt down and disrespect of a Gold Star Family. The GOP was/is taking it in shorts for that. They had to stop it.
It is both. I believe the GOP is taking a hard hit with Trumps continued disrespect of a(nother) Gold Star Family and needed to change the subject. Corker hates Trump, knows what he is doing to this country and wasted no time waving a red flag in his face. And we’re off on another twitter war.
