Just checked Fox and any mention of Ben and his crazy pyramid scheme…er…belief was absent. I’m just shocked.

Considering the only thing found in pyramids are dead people, jewelry, and sand, i would have to say, grain is unlikely to be stored at any significant level other than as “food for the afterlife”.

Seriously, who’d have thunk that the 2016 Presidential election politics would encompass an explanation of the Pyramids… or the role of what-if Jews had guns during the Holocaust… just how bad slavery really was considering ObamaCare… or the epidemic of prisoners turning gay? Guess these are contributions from Ben Carson. More pertinent, journalists need to follow up with Ben about his concerns that Obama would probably cancel the election altogether in his quest to totally destroy America and reign here forever? That pesky calendar keeps colliding with the RWNJ’s conspiracy fears - just when is Obama going to complete all these initiatives?

The Easter Island statues were created by aliens who were particularly fond of Pez candy.

If you tried to point out to a Tea Partier that Carson is a buffoon, their comeback would be that Obama once said 57 states and blah blah teleprompter. I don’t think there is anything Carson could say that would make one of them change their mind about him. For reference, see Palin, Sarah.

Actually, you’re incorrect…given that there were dead people, jewelry, grave goods, sand and tons and tons of eff’n’ ROCK! it is impossible that grain was stored there. Plus, we know who built them, we have records of who built them. For Christ’s sake, we have records. “Joseph” had nothing to do with building the blasted things!

How in the name of all that is Holy did this man manage to get a doctorate!

Well, when a nut like Carson tries to defend his “The Universe is only 6000 years old” lunacy the fact of 10000 year old monuments in Egypt kind of proves he is wrong, so, he MUST make sure they “fit” into his Literal Interpretation of HIS version of the Bible (there are about 20 versions at this time.)
It just proves he is unfit to be President of the United States of America.
When you make a Bloviating Blowhard Narcissist like Trump look good in comparison, that should tell you something.

Nah, they were built by locals who had a real love of the Eleventh Doctor…

“Now all the archeologists think that they were made for the pharaohs’ graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big if you stop and think about it. And I don’t think it’d just disappear over the course of time to store that much grain,” he said, according to video surfaced by Buzzfeed News on Wednesday."

Does anyone know what this means?

I can’t decide which is the stranger deal, Carson’s Pyramid Theory or Great Wall of Trump…

“It’s still my belief, yes.”
He said that “the pyramids were made in a way that they had hermetically sealed compartments.”

Oh, OK, early Tupperware…I had thought the good Doctor, considering the small size of the internal chambers, meant the Pyramid was a early single serve container, sort of an ancient Lunchable…I stand corrected.

Ancient Egypt another item in the long list that Ben Carson knows nothing about.

So a culture takes extensive pains to preserve dead nobles–disemboweling them, wrapping them in expensive linen fabric, even providing food and drink should they awaken for snack–but the “hermetically sealed” chambers commonly (foolishly) associated with them, and in which many of them have been found, are not further meant to preserve them but are actually grain silos??

I’ve seen other instances like this where Trump picked up a tidbit of information only because a reporter interviewing him mentioned it in passing. It may be the only way the big ignorant and incurious lummox actually learns anything.

Exactly! No matter how many times I read that explanation,it makes no literal sense.
