Discussion: Trump On Speech By Father Of Muslim Soldier: 'I'd Like To Hear His Wife'

Holy crap! George Will is questioning Drumpf’s ties with Russia.

Well, I’m sure she’d have something more interesting to say than yours. And she wouldn’t have to plagiarize it.

Here you go, Orange Julius. The interview is in two parts, which is a little long for your tiny, finger-like attention span.

Regretfully, given what we know about the rise and dominance of post Eisenhower right wing conservative extremism, it is not only believable, but to be expected. But I think; I hope; this will pass.

“I have a general.” Remember, folks – people are just property this maniac.

A very sane post.

Also what would be a cover story on

  • TIME

  • Newsweek

  • U.S. News and World Report

in the pre-Murdoch, pre-FOX, pre-Moonves era… There is no doubt in my mind about that. The events subsequent to 1 March 2016 would have resulted in another GOP Nominee. Trump would have had a Third Party candidacy, but he would not have corraled the legitimacy and the mandatory (false) equivalency the MSM is obligated to give to a candidate of one of the two major Political Parties.

Himmler, as GOP Nominee, would have had the same MSM hacks chuckling about such worthy topics as the “uniqueness of Himmler’s stare…maybe it comes from a fierce resolve?..maybe it comes from a deep faith…?”

Everything these parents say is meaningful, direct and so profound that I find myself unable to speak for awhile after I hear them. Last night, I was struck by their lack of bitterness about losing their son, their continued belief in the American political system and, since their boy was brought to this country as a small child, the fact that Mr. Khan credited the positive values in the US for shaping their son into a responsible, caring, inclusive human being.

I read that and, if you follow the links he included, it just gets curiouser and curiouser.

BTW: I can’t stand Will. But I’m extremely happy he now has Coir Coiffer in his crosshairs.

And she did not crib her words from elsewhere.

This is explains a lot about Trump. No matter what others do, whatever hardship or joy one has in their life. Or however much one sacrifices Trump just can’t acknowledge it. He has to just doubt, needle and tear down others. It’s all about him.

“I’d like to hear his wife say something,” he told The New York Times."

Don’t you worry your ugly head now, you’ll be hearing from both Mr. and Mrs Khan over the next 100 or so days. And you’re not going to like it one bit. In fact, I’m betting you’ll lose your cool and attack them. At that point, it’s game over.

“I’d like to hear his wife say something,"

Why? So you could say she’s probably bleeding from her whatever?

Very stupid of him. There’s a very obvious next move—invite Trump to their mosque.

She was so powerful.

I’m tearing up just recalling her comments, and I was a complete mess watching live.

Side note: this morning, I received an email from the ACLU, offering me a free pocket Constitution. I chuckled in admiration, and immediately sent a donation with my request.

Trump has a general AND a black.

Typical Trump; moving the goalposts.

He does this EVERY time. And most of us fall for it, addressing what HE wants, on his terms (having his wife speak or pointing out she has spoken) instead of hammering him on what shitty thing he’s said or done to bring attention to him in the first place. HE needs to defend why he would attack the parents of the dead soldier the way he did.

We need to stop that.

OT. Because you’ll never hear about it here at TPM (Trump Practically Monotonously)

I think you’re right. It’s his subtle (for him) way of pointing out the misogyny in the Islamic faith. Of course, ignoring his own misogyny and that in other religions.

And also his way of avoiding the harsh truths laid out by the Khans, for which he has no meaningful answer.

Like an unrepentant drunkard, Trump pushes on wreaking havoc and behaving inappropriately. He disgusts me more than I can express.

Wouldn’t if be delicious if they showed up en masse to have a chat with Coir Coif?

If they’re interested, the address is:

725 5th Ave

Or if they’d rather just phone it in to Trump HQ

On the other hand, if she was the wife of a terrorist he’d just have her killed.
