The unenlightened part of me would like to have witnessed the wise and insightful words 45* greeted Pence with upon his return to the office.

Trump is held hostage by Rush and Ann. Very little headway to be made in finding a face saving exit which will be acceptable to the Right Wing Fantasy Believers who are the GOPâs bosses.
I think the only reason they bother sending anyone at all in such a fruitless mission is, otherwise, Trump would make a big deal about it.
I think the only way this gets fixed is when enough Republican Senators running in 2020 beg McConnell to put them out of their misery. Because McConnell may not care about regular Americans, but heâll kill to stay Majority Leader.
In other words, MOFOTUS, youâre losing.
Well Trump that means FHA loans wonât be processed, farmer subsidy checks wonât get mailed, student loans arenât getting processed, citizens canât get passports, SNAP recipients wonât get benefits, businesses canât onboard new hires, because no access to e-verify which is required by federal law.

Weâll have a few more days of this. As Trump continues to sense Democratic resolve, heâll jump to an exit strategy. Right now, I think his preferred exit strategy approach would be to withdraw from negotiations, reopen the govât and issue one of those flimsy executive orders declaring the situation at the border a ânational emergencyâ, and direct DHS to study what is to be done, including the efficacy of a border wall, and then heâll go from there to use it as a campaign prop to make the MAGA crew swoon with white nationalist fantasies.
