This is one of those situations you run into where having a decades-long reputation as the most foulmouthed, small-minded, racist and sexist vulgarian on the planet will come back to bite you.
He said it. He’s tried to retroactively suggest it wasn’t him on the “Accent Hollywood” tape. If it were convenient he’d deny his name is Donald Trump. He’s just absurd that way. He said it.
Not only a rude, heartless, bigoted and mentally challenged man but an unrepentant liar as well.

Yup…the people who witnessed the remarks had wax in their ears and the “fake news” media ran with story they did not properly vette…trouble is, based on his abysmal inability to show grace or decorum in any situation…his propensity to display ignorance of even the simplest issues, his clear fear and hate of people who don’t look like him…you have to expect he expressed this and worse. We are just beginning to see the depths to which this cartoon president will go to drag America through the mud.
We are so lucky people around the world don’t consider us a “shithole country” based upon our shithole President.
He is a diseased and failed human being. If this is his front face, his private face has to be worse. I no longer am capable of imagining an uglier man to put into office.
And this is what the Republicans are holding up to both the citizenry and the world as a leader. They will not be able to run far enough away from this. He is theirs, make them own it.
Isn’t it obvious what happened? He was talking to his group of regressive, racist immigration hardliners that “ambushed” the two senators. He saw all white men in the room and assumed that they we all still “on his side”. He thought that he could still talk freely!
Notice exactly what he said: He didn’t call “Haitians” shitholes. He said the “countries” are shitholes. There was no denial of the word used, just the target. Nevermind that most people identify with their countries (as in call America a shithole, and I will take offense.) The non-denial denial took twelve hours to figure out. They are not too bright.
This is offensive on many levels, but I just want to point out in context of Immigration; entire countries don’t emigrate, people do. So unless he thinks every Haitian and African is a “shithole”, his comments only reflect his racism and provides no contribution to the discussion at hand.

Forget trying to parse this. Once that game starts, the argument moves away from what he did and gets lost in the details. It is like a kid trying to out lawyer dad when he gets into trouble.
This whole episode stinks, and the lesser part of the odor may come from Trump’s vile remarks. Durbin and Graham were ambushed by a posse of RWNJs intent on helping Trump weasel out of his consent to support a stand-alone bill dealing with DACA. Trump then turned on the two senators, using the likes of McCarthy, Cotton, et. al. for cover. Later, Cronyn stepped up in true concern troll fashion to lament that a mere six people agreeing on a plan does not make it democratic or bipartisan. This ruse is so cynical and sleazy that I am surprised that someone didn’t pencil in a response by Putin. Trump’s comments about countries of color, as well as his later denial, is both predictable and despicable. The “screw the DREAMers” game that surrounded Trump’s comments is just as hateful, if not more so.
I would almost say “no, he’s not white trash”, being the Manchild With A Golden Arm that he is, but, you know - he’s like an image of what I’'m sure the folks in Fritters, AK, believe a wealthy and powerful man to be, with all the baggage that entails. His mindset is most definitely White Trash, though.

Trump could take a dump on your foyer rug and fail to comprehend the need to apologize for doing it. Instead he’d look you right in the eye and without the slightest hint of deception say your dog did it.
Everyone on the planet should know that Trump should be recorded at all times in order to have any chance at verifying what he said. If this meeting wasn’t recorded, then those attending are dumb asses. Giving Trump any wiggle room with regard to “the truth” is laughable. Even if this meeting was video recorded, The Orange Fecal Stain will lie about what he said, but having it on video is for the rest of mankind. Either his comment about s*ithole countries was recorded or not. If not, then Trump will forever swear he didn’t say it.
I’m not sure what you mean, and I’m not sure that reinforcing a stereotype is the best way to respond to Trump’s comment.
