Wow now we’re up to a million jobs.
“I have made a deal where every man, woman, child and four-legged animal in the U.S. will be employed making weapons and fighter jets for the Saudis at $80/hour with 10 hours per week overtime guaranteed until November 2020, when pay will increase to $100/hour. I will not lose those tens of millions of jobs any more than I will lose the rest of what’s left of my mind.”
So, wait — now the Saudis’ story is back to not being credible?
I’ve lost track — is this a

Donnie is caught in a revolving door of his own making. Liar, liar, pants on…fire!!!
He is desperate and backpedaling and lying up a storm to cover-up a gruesome murder. Reporters should be calling him out on this bullshit. It is NOT one million jobs. It is a few thousand jobs if that and it is NOT a 110 billion dollar arms deal. The man just pulls numbers out of his ass and reporters don’t challenge him. Erdogan will explain the death of Jamal Khashoggi on Tuesday. Trump is frantic.
So when is this going to blow over and go away, Mr. Kushner? Sounds like Trump is not quite sure how the wind is blowing on this one. No one seems capable of coming up with a good enough “cover story” to fool/buy off the MSM.
When stupid meets uninformed, it’s not a pretty sight.
Trump keeps doubting and who-knowsing all this, but he’s always going far to act like they’re sternly doubting and so forth. This makes me suspect the whole situation is even worse than we thought. It’s known that Kushner was a hugely avid consumer of the daily briefings, even if Trump isn’t, and if he was feeding MBS information on dissidents as part of a quid pro quo and that led to this, well then. He was the guy closest to the Saudis, playing footsie with them all the time, getting Qatar blockaded as revenge for their not bailing him out, it’s very suspicious and outside of saying we need to work with our “allies” he hasn’t had much to say.
I wish people would stop saying this as if it were always and unfailingly true. Reporters challenge him all the time. Daniel Dale is relentless about it. But Trump dodges, the GOP just rolls its eyes, the public isn’t outraged, and there you are. But reporters do challenge him. Even when the AP says a claim is “baseless” they’re saying there’s no evidence to support what he says. That’s a challenge.
I agree.
I also think challenging him to his face would be a better use of these gaggles. “You said 40,000 jobs in March, then 250,000, then 600,000, now a million jobs. Which is it?”
A reporter who asks “what about the midterms” is not challenging him.
Honestly I question what good challenging him to his face would do either. He’ll dodge it—he’s a master at that—or he’ll get nasty. When has he ever been caught out without a good answer, besides Helsinki? When else has that hurt him anyway? I don’t think these gaggles have much value outside of seeing how weird he’s going to be on a given day, and I’m not seeing much good coming out of the now-rare briefings at the White House. People should be in the newsroom working the phones. That’s how you rock and sock these people, with big, consequential stories about the evil stuff they’re doing, showing the patterns, how the scams work. Trump knows he’s a bullshitter. It’s a way of life for him, and he has forty years of practice. Challenge-schmallenge say I. Work the phones and get the goods.
Reminds me of one of the best scene’s from 1962’s Manchurian Candidate, but not nearly as enjoyable to watch…
This is what I’m after. I don’t think for a minute he’d give a straight answer. These are the clips that run on news shows and asking innocuous questions is pretending he’s normal.
Sure… the world respect Trump so much that the Saudis dare to come up with a childish horseshit story just to watch Trump gag on it, even the camels are laughing at Trump and Pompeo right now.
They don’t care they could say: “yeah we did it and ?” or like after 9/11 just say nothing. Is not like the US is going to sanction them and see the gasoline prices going through the roof just before the election.
I’m not against showing how weird he is. Maybe some people, apolitical people, need to slowly realize that. But from all accounts people mostly have their minds made up one way or the other. At any rate, here’s a guy who’s made it his business to chronicle all of the literally thousands of lies. Ladies and gentleman, give it up for…
I've fact-checked every word Trump has uttered for two full years. This is one of his most dishonest weeks in political life. He's lying about so many different things at once, and in big ways -- not exaggerating or stretching, completely making stuff up. https://t.co/XrgPbUIcZ1

Plus every time he is challenged, he just shout types “FAKE NEWS” over and over and over and over again.
Hate to be on topic but Turkish television is showing what they say are Saudi diplomats burning documents the day after Khashoggi’s murder.
