And itās pretty hard for a massive entity like the DoD to make plans when they donāt know if they have money from day-to-day.
Yes, not having a budget does cause massive problems, and inefficiencies as agencies have to continually waste lots of time planning for shutdowns which may or may not occur.

This is a poorly thought-out article.
There are plenty of arguments as to why the military would be very negatively affected, and itās subjective as to whether they will be worse off than other agencies.
Just for one example, all of the uniformed active duty will remain on duty-- just without a paycheck for the length of the shutdown.
Thatās a pretty fucking bad morale killer right there-- Iām sure everyone here loves being forced to work with no idea when you would receive a paycheck.

The $500M spent annually on military bands will still be spent, as will all of the expenses for the 194 military golf courses worldwide and the essential ski resort in Germany. The F35 will still not fly, but more will be ordered.
I guess you donāt know that members of the military bands are Soldiers, like any other. And have deployed and even won the Medal of Honor.
And that ceremonies are an important and long-standing part of tradition in militarys across the globe and throughout history.
