Discussion: Trump Lawyer On Russia Meeting: POTUS Wasn't There And Didn't Know Anything

Thanks Mr. Lawyer. However, we know Trump is a pathological liar, so your statement based on his assertion really doesn’t amount to much. You know, consider the source.

I am not sure you can trust anything these traitors say.

“Donald Trump doesn’t know anything” is a correct statement. Everything else said here is a lie.

He didn’t know, 3 weeks before the shit hit the fan, when his campaign committee started paying Dim Son’s legal bills?

A denial of knowledge and attendance by a Trump mouthpiece means Trump knew of the election collusion meeting with Russia and it’s even possible Don the Con was personally present on on the phone.

We have all learned that Trump and his truthless lackeys lie about everything, so this denial is sort of like an admission.

Why do major news orgs bother with interviews of these biased, lying sacks of dung? We know what they’re going to say before they say it. Here’s a quick primer on Trump’s surrogates’ commentary:

Trump never does anything even slightly wrong, misguided or self-serving
Trump’s family members are brilliant business people who only do ethical things
Everyone in the media lies about Trump and unfairly criticizes his altruistic motivations/deeds
What appears obvious to the outside world (when critical of Trump) is a case of total misinterpretation or willful smearing

So, given these rules, we already know exactly what any Trump surrogate/spokesperson will say. No need for an interview or seeking comment.

Asked on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” if he knew the names of everyone who attended Trump Jr.’s meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, Jay Sekulow said he did not and went on to insist unprompted that Trump was not among their number.

Shades of Jeff Sessions and we know how that worked out.

It’s remarkable. These people just can’t shut up, not even the lawyers who certainly ought to know better.

So if Sekulow says Trump wasn’t there, that means he was there or at least phoned in. I speculate that shoe will drop in the next couple days, which might explain Trump’s morning tweets today.

That argument is getting more rickety by the day.

“That was information that was controlled not by my client, not by the President. It was controlled by Donald Trump Jr.,” he said. “The President was not involved in that decision.”

This is interesting. Putting a wall between Trump and Trump, Jr. I hope Junior is aware his daddy will not stand by him when push comes to shove. But he ought to know his dad doesn’t do loyalty.

Two weeks from now it will be "OK, he was there by Skype but the connection was really bad and he couldn’t understand what they were saying. "

Why? It’s simple: because they know he will lie or else repeat a lie and now it’s on the public record. Remember that Trump very, very senior does have a dim memory of knowing “something” about a meeting.

It simply defies rational explanation that Trump would not have known about the meeting. This would have been yuuge in the Trump world at that time. A) they get word that Russia/Putin favors them and are willing to help would have been huge in its own right. But add in B) that the Russians claimed to have actual dirt on the Clintons would have been a major coup and it is simply unbelievable that Donnie Jr would not have told Trump immediately. In fact in any rational organization there would have been an major meeting involving senior staff to plan a response. Do we respond at all? They’re going to want something, how far are we willing to go etc. In fact, the only scenario in which Trump might have not known would be that the email/meeting by that time was pretty routine in Trump world. And it would appear to becoming more blatantly obvious with every new drip that Trump, whose whole career has been about winning whatever corners have to be cut, whatever rules have to be broken and getting away with it through a combination of bluster, bribes and deny, deny. deny and attack attack attack, made a deal with the devil to try and gain an edge.

Thereby admitting the meeting was wrong.

Sekulow said Trump “became aware of it very recently” and that he learned of the meeting “about the same time, almost exactly the same time.”

WTF? Does that even mean?

Maybe this will be the next revelation from fakenews NYT?

The lawyer is sent out on Sunday to tell and repeat lies and to put a hint of legal imprimatur on the lies. He’s a Sunday show liar and mis-director. Spokespeople might not be quite so convincing in their lies since they’ve been publicly lying just about every day for months. But it’s all lying just the same.

How could Trump’s lawyer, at this point say he doesn’t know all the names of who was at the meeting?

Seriously.

How is that not a flagrant lie or an admission of gross incompetence as counsel?

It means he went to a law school ranked #134 in US and earned a Ph.D. from Regent University.

…as if Junior didn’t text Daddy about the meeting as soon as he could!
