Okay, I just re-watched “All the President’s Men” so I’m up to speed on the legal stuff. With a competent legal team, everything from now on should fall into one of two categories “plausible deniability” or “non-denial denial”. For this legal team, however, I suggest investing heavily in bus futures.

Is there any legal restrictions on how the campaign committee money can be spent? Can it be used to pay legal bills of anyone associated with the campaign?

Trump knows nothing because he and the movement behind him are a 21st century revival of the Know-Nothings. I look at the reasons some of my relatives voted for him, and it all comes down to anti-immigrant sentiment.
Trump has spent a lifetime saying whatever has been expedient at the moment, and I think it has worked for him because most people simply cannot wrap their heads around so many lies and figure that there must be a kernel of truth in there somewhere. Or something. I just can’t figure it out at all. Six impossible tweets before breakfast.
If you want to be associated with Trump you gotta be a yes-man. So all of his loyal people just regurgitate trivial variations of what Trump spewed. (Until new spew requires revision. Rinse. Repeat.)

I would suggest the same for any non-family staff. Even family should be looking over their shoulders.
