Is it possible that Trump makes himself so irredeemably toxic before the convention that the GOP apparatus decides to dump him, no matter how painful the short-term cost? I’m thinking not just of the daily Mexican-bashing, but also the naked attempt to steal from veterans and new revelations about Trump U. And, since this is Trump, the 17 or so new problems we haven’t heard about yet…

Trump must be really really threatened by this lawsuit. He fails to mention the huge gift the judge gave him in delaying the trial til after the election.
And I keep getting the feeling (wishful thinking, I know) that he Wants to be kicked out the race, that he really doesn’t want to be president (dictator yes; president, no), but can’t drop out without a way to lay the blame on someone else, no matter who that is.
He didn’t expect to make it this far and it doesn’t seem to be the money-making, brand-enhancing scheme he probably first envisioned. Will his speaker’s fees & book advances go up or down after this?
