Discussion: Trump Jokes About Secret Service Agents Masks: 'They're In Blackface'

To be honest, as a chronic norm violator Trump seems to intuitively grasp the transgressive aspect of humor. He just doesn’t quite get that it’s also supposed to be funny.

Stupid does as stupid is.

They say conservatives can’t do funny. After this they might be right.

Someone with no real sense of humor, especially someone who cannot laugh at himself or take a joke, should not attempt to make jokes. It will never work. It will never be funny - no matter how much people might feel required to laugh.

The two sources who spoke to Axios shared the information based on their memory of the event because attendees were forced to place their cellphones in magnetized bags while at the clubhouse.

Which shows that even if you can’t document the event with video, if the situation is uncomfortable enough that most people realize it’s wrong, it will still “leak.”

More important than stupid jokes about blackface is Trump’s venue and audience:

During a private speech with Republican National Committee donors on Friday night at Mar-a-Lago,…

Cindy Yang certainly fits the description of attendees. Was she there? Was some other member of her family/circle there? Given the potential for these individuals being agents/informants for Chinese intelligence service, and Trump’s propensity for blurting out just anything, has any care been taken to limit their access? Does anyone even dare bring up such a thing to Herr Trump? Trump’s carelessness with security is beyond appalling.

OT- catching up…

What a dumbsh*t. His Fordham Univ 1.3 GPA must be real. Negative Al prices mean less profit and jobs for suppliers… not a good thing when you impose tariffs. Since the tariffs, Al jobs are up a tiny 0.5%. Alternatively, Al buyers have been hit with huge transport costs of 26%, negating lower Al prices.

Related- WaPo editorial causes me to spit my coffee this morning:

“USMCA [NAFTA, v.2] usefully cracks open Canada’s protected dairy market”

The CAN dairy market is small, about 1-2 USA states. US dairy increased their export limit 12%, but that is only an increase from 3.2% to 3.6% of domestic CAN market. 300 percent tariff above that limit. Not exactly “cracking open” the CAN dairy market. Note: US dairy is hurting due to overproduction.

Fun fact: the 3.6% CAN dairy market export limit was part of TPP trade deal- the one Trump cancelled his first week in office.

Yeah, I think this whole “Chinese Madame” story will blow up and sink them all. It should at least.

I know it’s already been said 892,657,431 times already, but, “What an asshole!”

And although no audio or video of this may exist, if you don’t think Trump would really say this, then you must have been sealed in a magnetized bag for the last 2+ years.

Why is there no link to the Axios report?

When it comes to moral leadership, Donnie’s in a class of his own.

He really has no clue what those SS agents are doing.

You are absolutely right.
It will also not have any effect. There are no evil spies that he pals around with, no outright lies, no bribes taken in broad daylight that can touch him, as long as the GOP power structure wants him in place. And a lazy mainstream media can’t bring themselves to say that a traitor in the white house is a bad thing for the safety of this country.

I loves me some good dark humor but conservatives think that torture, rape, and violent assault themselves are hilarious. They truly don’t comprehend why Jayne (from Firefly) is funny and lynching is not.

And that’s just on TPM!

I can already see Secret Service agents playing “Rock Paper Scissors” to determine which one has to be the fool who takes a bullet for this asshole.

Cue the GOP’s thunderous…silence.
