This is exactly right. My one remaining Repub friend’s typical response to any question about DT is to shrug his shoulders. For some, ignorance really is bliss.

On the plus side this will be his condition if he were to ever have a sit down with Mueller, which is why his legals are dancing so fast to keep that from happening. He won’t sit still for a briefing, he doesn’t how to read, and bullet points won’t suffice in reply to a long questions.

This I’m always prepared is comparable to his sense of how much he’s worth. It changes from day to day depending on his mood and attitude. Asked if he was being truthful in assessing his worth:
“My net worth fluctuates, and it goes up and down with markets and with attitudes and with feelings, even my own feelings, but I try.”
