Yeah, but they just need to bring some of their engineering staff from China, simple solution.
The only Wisconsin voters/taxpayers I know are dems - and donât deserve what they got from Trump, or from Walker.
Another example of a typical Bait and Switch economic approach from the economic no-nothingâs: republicans. Vote for us and we will bring you no taxes, great paying jobs and greater opportunities.
But not to worry, the only reason that Foxconn might be holding back is because of the Democrats. So vote for us again and we will rectify this. MAGA!
God created the microchip just as it is as we see it today. It cannot be improved upon by mere mortals. So it is written.
I remember reading about this horrible company years ago. They paid people super low wages, worked very long hours, not much time off and 10 people would be sharing a 2 room apartment because they couldnât afford anything else. Then, there were the suicides of employees.
I tried in earnest not to buy anything made in China but it was hopeless. Everything comes from there. Canât believe this company would be considered a plus for the US, theyâre disgraceful.
Letâs be clear. The market never shifted. They were never going to build a manufacturing plant in the U.S. We donât pay $3.15 per hour for the work, and we canât manufacture the precision parts in mass quantities as they can in China.
Liars and damned liars.
Yet another Fox con.
AS A GROUP, IN AGGREGATE, the people of Wisconsin helped elect Donald Trump. Crimes deserve penalties and sanctions. I see no way of interpreting a vote for Trump as other than a criminal act. Trump was widely known to be a criminal during the campaign. He publicly confessed to committing sexual assault, at a minimum. Those voting for him knowingly knew and accepted he was a criminal, yet voted for him. So, as a group, the people of Wisconsin can burn in hell as far as Iâm concerned.
The republicans passed laws during the lame duck session to prevent that. Walker of course signed them
Then I guess I am burning too - along with all of the blue dots in Indiana. Cuz the teaparty voted for both Trump and Pence. And yes - many of us knew better but could not be loud enough to change it.
But in 2006 we flipped our congressional delegation to blue from red; and in 2008 we voted for Obama (first dem presidential vote since LBJ). And we are working hard to get that momentum moving again. But as hard as it is to do now, it will be even harder if we try to do it while we burn in hell.
Just because you know some WI Democrats doesnât mean there were enough to prevent Rump from getting elected. Sorry, no sympathy here. I always knew this was going to be a con - the only issue was how high the magnitude of the deception. Now we know there never going to be Blue collar jobs for locals. Just White collar jobs for highly specialized positions.
Canât they pass new laws to override - and at least get them into court to tie/slow things down?
God created planned obsolescence, and sometimes I wish she would speed things upâŚ
We are. Not surprised, no, this was plain as day from the moment Walker started talking. But furious? You betcha.
On behalf of the 52.8% of us who voted for somebody other than Donald Trump (and especially the 46.5% of us who voted for Hillary Clinton), I cordially invite you to engage in relations with a wood chipper.
And they (the dem voters in Wisconsin) did too.
Republicans, Wisconsinites Foxconn-ed?
No way Ted.
Donât laugh here are comments from the right wing⌠itâs all the dems fault
Well Wisconsin voted out the governor who helped to land the deal and that wouldâve protected the deal so no jobs for you Wisconsin! Back to Starbucks! Keep voting for dems idiots.
He was never for Blue Collar working people, he was always for the Billionaires/Big Business, he just managed to Con all those people into thinking he cared. Itâs their own stupid fault
By that logic, and by the system that we, as voters, knew was in place when we voted, the USA deserves everything that we get from Trump.
So probably need to stop complaining about him, then. Because we, the people, AS A GROUP, IN AGGREGATE elected Donald Trump.
Honestly, if youâre going to play this game, the thing to blame the people of Wisconsin for is voting Walker in once, and voting to keep him in two more times.
Foxconn keeps chipping away at the promises it made. They cleverly collected billions up front and have no obligation to pay any of it back. Theyâll just keep scaling back on what they plan to do, including hiring (most of the new hires will be out-of-state, many from China).
Now that WI has blown a gigantic hole in its transportation budget, they look like marks who just got supremely conned.
