Man, Walker should have whored a bit harder.

We’ll put those Foxconn jobs out there with the three new steel plants and all those coal jobs that are coming back.

Or thrown more billions of Wisconsin tax payer dollars at them.

I’d be furious if I were a Wisconsin taxpayer.

Foxconn, a major supplier to Apple, is the world’s largest contract maker of electronics and China’s largest private employer.

global market environment that existed when the project was first announced in 2017 has shifted, “this has necessitated the adjustment of plans for all projects, including Wisconsin.”

Trump can’t help himself by biting the hand that feeds him.

He added, ‘We just lied about that to get a shitload of no strings attached tax breaks and subsidies. Score!’

Seems to me that if a President can unilaterally ditch long-term treaties because he’s a Russian asset, a new Governor should be able to ditch just-signed contracts that aren’t in the best interest of the state.

Trump’s intelligence sources inform him THERE WILL TOO be 13,000 jobs created, and the Associated Press should go back to school!!

I agree!

Golly gee, nobody saw that a-comin’.

Now they are going to have 13,000 R&D jobs instead of the promised blue-collar jobs? Good luck with that. One doesn’t instantly create a huge R&D staff, and R&D jobs are notorious for being the first to get chopped.

Anyone hear of that great manufacturing govt bailout success story of Carrier in Indiana?

Oh, FFS. I can’t possibly fix that for you. Sorry.

“The number varies from speech to speech. On July 27, Trump claimed U.S. Steel was going to open seven plants. Twice in June, he hyped six new ones.”

And the best part is the Foxxcom facility will be built - if it is ever built - just north of the Illinois line. How many of the supposed jobs go to Illinois residents?

Trust me, Foxconn is going to keep the incentives, no matter how many people they hire. And they knew all along that the 13K jobs was fantasy, they just played Walker for the fool he is.

And there I was thinking that Foxconn was shorthand for what Hannity and his crew did as in, “Hannity did the typical Foxconn routine about the Wall last night”…

Louis Woo (and his motley crew).says; "a factory would not be built in Wisconsin: You can’t use a factory to view our Wisconsin investment.”

Bait and switch. The oldest game in the book. Take the tax credits and run.

In China, Foxconn has publicly stated it will reduce it’s staffing levels and move manufacturing to Vietnam, Laos, India, and other “lower cost labor” environments, while massively increasing it’s use of “robotic manufacturing” in mainland China and “other locations”.

As a group they voted for Trump. The rest of us should just enjoy watching them getting scammed and wallowing in their disillusionment. Eff all of them, and their employment prospects. Here’s hoping they become impoverished, starve, and die a miserable death.

You reap what you sow.

The pivot is to research. Any new jobs will be outsourced to other countries or be filled by special visa folk from countries that aren’t teaching their home-schooled children to hate science…
