Trumpet says…don king? Ummm, don king? I meant peter king…yeah, that’s it. Peter king.

I’m not sure that I’m moved by a Don King endorsement but these two critters are certainly a great match for one another hair and all. They could actually be twins separated at birth.

I have to wonder, did Trump try to stiff King?

And tomorrow…Trump claims the endorsements of Senator Warren and President Obama. Because why not??

Don King’s great achievement is to be (arguably) a bigger thief and liar than Trump himself. I don’t think there’s a single person he had business dealings with who didn’t complain of being ripped off afterwards. So yes definitely two peas in a pod, though King is 10 times smarter.

Beat me to it. A match made in heaven … or somewhere.

I didn’t know Don King was even alive.

Who should I believe? It is a tough one.

This is one of at least three instances I can think of offhand where Trump will baldly lie about something that’s in the public record as false and can be disproven in instants. Does he believe it for the moment he’s saying it? Is he delusional? Does he simply not care that anyone who bothers to can prove him an outrageous liar many times over? It’s puzzling.

It’s like watching an unfamiliar species. “How is that possible?” one thinks.

Using Don King’s name this way, as a prop and a commodity, is a racist act.

He is telling a terrible story
Which will tend to diminish his glory;
…
It is easy, in elegant diction,
To call it an innocent fiction;
But it comes in the same category
As telling a regular terrible story.

Exactly. He’s standing on a chair, the cabinet is open, the cookie jar is smashed on the floor, and he’s saying “I didn’t do it.” It’s just ridiculous. It’s like it’s impossible for him to comprehend how this outrageous reality-denial might look to another human being, the light it would put him in. Just bizarre.

Don King and Donald Trump in glorious black and white (orange?) Two of the greatest performance artists of our time.

As long as Trump keeps publicly saying he’s not a racist, he’s keeping the racist charge at the top of the news. Not real smart.

And on Sunday Drumpf will announce the coveted OJ Simpson endorsement.

trump lied about seeing thousands and thousands of muslims in jersey celebrating the fall of the twin towers. of course, that was not in the public record because it never happened. sort of an alternate reality meme.

I’m going with some variety of delusional. Reading today’s NYT piece on his history with casinos in NJ I was struck by the degree to which his career is based on lying and deception. I mean, it doesn’t seem simply like an aspect of what he does but pretty much the whole thing. So he has had a lifetime of making outrageously false claims and promises and, in his mind at least, getting rewarded for it. Does he think there is the slightest penalty to be paid for lies, however wild? Can he even maintain a clear distinction between what he is saying and what is “really” the case? I really don’t think so. The only genuine thing about him is that he is genuinely unbalanced.
