Stray thoughts: Yep, Trumpās flailing and I donāt think this will be any more effective than other anti-media propaganda. Pretty sure itās a Miller thing; Trump doesnāt have the chops for this āopposition partyā idea, even as earthbound and lame as it is. The unstated premise of it relies on the mediaās own tendency to faux equivalence, and the idea there must be good things to say about the Trump admin that the media arenāt saying. Trumpās own actions every day tear huge strips off that concept, though. People can see whether he does good stuff or not. He doesnāt. He canāt cut the gig. To justify himself heās going back all the way to the election, and thatās geological ages ago in public-perception time and thereās nothing there to point to anyway. He stole the election, and does any normal person care about the tax cut? Please. And heās really, really relying on Miller, maybe because Miller for all his trolling is a fanatic on brown people, the only true believer left in the den of thieves. But most of all this is flailing. Flailing flailing flailing.

But if Chump thinks our NYT and WaPo are āenemies of the peopleā and now the āopposition partyā I would LOVE for there to be a few orgs out there who could REALLY make him piss himself. Media that doesnāt have to play by all the journo rules, and can start throwing media spotlight and lawsuits at him, at Twitter, at his enablers, for defamation and obstruction and as advocates for his earlier financial victims and new emoluments victims. The NYT and WaPo cannot organize marches or assemble lawyers or get boots on the ground or get out the vote campaigns.
