Dig the line in the sand twixt the base and other people. If people get turn their attention to anything else, keep digging.
Of course the phrase âkeep diggingâ can have more than one meaning.
Miller came up with this one.
Should have called it âOpposition Realityâ, because reality has a well known liberal bias.
And yet MSNBC has higher ratings.
Ugly, ugly. Search YouTube for Mussolini speeches. Frightening.
Because of the punctuation, no weird capitalization, or âquotation marksâ?
So then Fox is the official Government Broadcasting Network? And the GOP is the Sycophantic Party.
Folks, PLEASE start considering your run for political office in 2020. The Democrats must retake the Senate before we lose everything as the GOP stands silent.
Because itâs four syllables. And kind of parliamentary and British. Way outside Trumpâs ken.
What isnât outside Trumpâs ken besides Trumpology?
Most of the media seek to tell the truth and believe strongly in the first amendment, by that standard, they are indeed in opposition to the bilious lies you spew on an hourly basis and to your lack of knowledge and belief in the Constitution. Perhaps you can refer to them as the âResistanceâ, as in resisting your subversion of Americaâs values?
I can dig it.
A free press is essential for a healthy and vibrant democracy; indeed, without a free press, there can be no democracy. Trump does his authoritarian friends proud with such a disgusting tweet. Putin is getting much bang for his rubles.
Fake President sez what now?
Got news for you big boy. Over 70% of the people you supposedly represent constitute the âOpposition Partyâ. And weâre sick and tired of your lies, cruelty, narcissism and ignorance. Given that Mueller and the new house work for us, and dwell in the realm of reality and not alternative facts, I fully expect your life to become a living hell very soon. I donât usually wish bad things on anyone but, Gaia knows, you deserve whatever pain and suffering comes your way. /rant
(Heavy sigh)
Sorry Donnie, the âopposition partyâ would be the Democratic Party, what you call âfake newsâ is the Fourth Estate, while Fox really is âfake news;â and ultimately, YOU are the âenemy of the people.â
I never thought Iâd repeat a Bill Krystol tweet:
But the âDemocrats in Disarrayâ trope is a well that never seems to run dry for the media. Are Democrats that much more exciting than Republicans to deserve this kind of obsession, or is it just that Republicans are monolithically boring?
Eh, I donât know. I find this all far more pathetic and flailing than frightening. I mean, sure, itâs frightening that we have a president who is so unstable, stupid, and emotionally fragile, but his attacks on the press and others are nothing more than a child lashing out at his parents for making him wear a coat in the winter instead of swim trunks. He doesnât like reality, so he rails against those who force him to face it. Itâs all gotten so lame.
Maybe itâs because the palace intrigue stuff actually works with the Dems?
They (far too often IMHO) split votes and follow consciences, constituents, etc.
The Republicans in all three branches may occasionally say something off-topic, but they all come around in the end and put their votes lock-step with the Party.
So why bother with stories about how Graham criticized the President when you know that heâll walk it back within 24 hoursâŚ
Nice!
