Discussion: Trump Forgives $50 Million Loan To His Own Campaign

Trump’s kids: Time to have him declared mentally incompetent and save our paltry inheritance.

  1. Going forward direct payments from the campaign to Trump companies will be prioritized
  2. Vendors will be screwed over royally
  3. Bankruptcy will be filed on Nov. 9th
  4. On Nov. 10th Trump will change his mind and decide the loans are not forgiven

Get it in writing, campaign.

(Also, does this–“Mr. Trump is not beholden to the special interests”–mean they were worried about being beholden to that rascal Trump, holding those IOU’s?)

Trump is beholden to only one special interest–Trump!

I’m waiting for the fine print.

For example, what percentage of the $50 mill plowed right back into Trump-associated companies & salaries, including himself?
Is it contingent on winning the election?
Is there a back-out clause?
Does he get a tax break on this?
How much is the $50 million really costing him? (And as tiowally’s reply indicates, how much is it actually costing us.)

Yes, I’m sorry, but “Trump Announces” in no way actually says that this is what has actually happened, right ?

Just because Trump says the loan is forgiven, doesn’t mean that its true. Just like the $6 million he “raised for charity” but refuse to say what charities he actually gave to

Exactly my point.

Time to have him declared mentally incompetent and save our paltry inheritance.

Would they be on the hook for any of his debts?

Sure, Trump “announced,” just like all the times he announced he would donate to various charities. He’s an expert on finding ways to avoid following through on any verbal commitments.

And why not, given the level of kicking campaign funds back to his own resorts and other business entities?

Obviously there is more to this statement than meets the eye. Some questions might be:

Does he now take a $50 million write off on his personal taxes?
Is the debt forgiveness in writing?
How much of the $50 million did he steal from veterans?

Why would anyone believe anything that Donald “the draft dodging coward” Trump says?

Total, hilariously transparent lie from the scam artist. Any statement about one’s ‘intentions’ is a 50% lie. When the statement is made by Trump, the lie is 100% visible.

To be clear: (1) I don’t believe he loaned his campaign anything like $50 million. (2) I don’t believe he intends not to seek repayment of whatever sum, if any, he did lend.

It seems clear to me that the GOP money people were not going to donate funds only to have Trump pay himself back. They told him to suck it up. We’ll see if this opens some wallets.

Well, you got the skintone right. The hair’s off a little.
