I’m assuming that the big money folks insisted he get some skin in the game before they give him anything.
Just remember, don’t write any checks until his paperwork is filed all tidy and legal. Otherwise, its just a Trump statement, and those are totally worthless.

Does this moron realize there are over 20M Americans? There is no such thing as a presidential campaign that relies SOLELY on social media and rallies at airplane hangars. You don’t win the Presidency by having the most “followers.”
Anyone, and I mean anyone, who donates money or in-kind contributions to this obvious rip off artist deserves what they get.

I think I’m going to loan myself $100 million. I want to be a rock star so I’m going to rent out stadiums and travel all over the world with my entourage. Oh! and also pay off my credit card and mortgage. Maybe buy a Lamborghini to befit my status as a rock star, cash of course. Maybe buy a bunch of stock options and put that money in the Cayman Islands. Fund the old retirement account. Buy me some Republicans too! And don’t worry! Imma give a lot of money to charity, fund a couple of TPM expansions of course, classy expansions, yoooge expansions, you won’t believe the expansions. It will all work out, trust me!

This statement confirms to me that Trump and his people are really a deluded bunch. Honestly, they don’t think Hillary Clinton, the Democrats and us Democratic voters aren’t participating in our own social media activities? OMG, serious face palm.

I’m wondering if his making this formal statement holds any legal weight? – Isn’t he required to formally notify the FEC in writing (or on whatever form) of this type of decision? And, if he doesn’t formally do so in writing, can’t he backtrack at some future date and say, “Just kidding!”
