Yeah, that whole correlation/causation/coincidence thing is just another educated elitist hoax. :confounded:

It turned out paying Captain Hazelwood with cases of Trump Vodka had some, ahem, ā€œunintended consequences.ā€

Tomorrow Trump will be boosting that he predicted the 600 pt. drop in the DOW.

He has no idea. Heā€™s just flapping his pie hole and no ā€œjournalistā€ would ever ask him to elaborate.

Everyone knows that Scotland is a swing state.

It is a HUGE coincidence.

Has anybody else seen that George Will has quit the GOP? Says itā€™s not his party with Trump in charge.

What the Wales+England union flag might look like several years down the line

And no, being Welsh-American with relatives still living over there, I donā€™t ever see a Wales-England split, Plaid Cymru, not withstanding, for reasons going back to the House of Tudor.

Have you ever read Cordellā€™s trilogy - Rape of the Fair Country? Itā€™s about Wales and itā€™s really really good.

It must be tough for the banned media to avoid the temptation simply to stop covering Trump entirely. ā€œWeā€™ve been banned, so we canā€™t reliably report any news about this personā€ - then never mention his name again.

No. Iā€™ll check it out. Sounds like it deals with the devastation caused by the coal mining industry.

ā€œThe presumptive Republican presidential nominee later told reporters that the stock marketā€™s fall on Friday was due to Wall Streetā€™s worries about President Barack Obamaā€™s economic policies and the U.S. debt.ā€ And the reporters duly noted this as one side of an argument which would need to be ā€˜railed againstā€™ by someone from ā€˜the other side.ā€™ Enablers, all of them.

The Trilogy is called the Mortymer Trilogy, and itā€™s Rape of the Fair Country, Hosts of Rebecca and Song of the Earth and yes itā€™s about coal mining in Wales and about politics.

Alexander Cordell. Itā€™s one of those things I picked one time in a used book store because it looked interesting and it turned out to be extremely good, especially if you have interest in Wales.

Scotland isnā€™t reacting on the petition because they are now going back to the thought of their own independence. One of the reasons they voted to stay a couple of years ago was because they wanted to stay in the EU ā€“ independence at that time would have meant 5+ years to apply for membership as a separate country, etc.

Now they are trying to leverage their existing membership as part of the UK as a way to both go independent and stay EU. The split might go through the next time around. That would BTW mean the end of both UK and Great Britain, because Scotland is part of both of those designations.

Northern Ireland is a bit of a different case (hence somewhat more interest in the petition) because, although they could reunite with the Republic of Ireland, and thereby stay in the EU (the Republic also has the Euro as its currency), the politics there are more difficult.

According to an MP on the House of Commons Select Committtee for petitions, they are going to discuss this petition already on Tuesday.

Hold onto your seats, this should get interesting!

Thanks for the information - it could definitely get interesting alright.

Our times just keep upping the interesting ante it seems.

Itā€™s still hard to beat Richard Llewellynā€™s ā€œHow Green Was My Valley.ā€

Peter Sagal made a similar comment today on ā€œWait Wait . . . Donā€™t Tell Me.ā€ The UK exit has created a vacancy in the EU that we can fill with a Trexit.

Once again we witness the phenomenal brilliance of El Quacko. Luckily heā€™s wealthy enough to have dressers, otherwise heā€™d spend hours deliberating over which sock is the left one every morning.
