Trump suspended his campaign and went to Scotland? That even trumps McCain.
It’s even beginning to dawn on the U.K. voters that this might not have been a very smart thing to do. Didn’t take long.
This would be the reaction if U.S. voters pulled the lever for Trump, thinking that they’re just “sending a message” to Washington, but never thinking this buffoon might actually end up in the White House. Die-hard Sanders supporters, are you paying attention?
Tump has added The Guardian reporters to his banned list.
At a press conference on Friday at his Turnberry golf course in Ayrshire, Trump took offence when the Guardian asked him why UK and Scottish senior politicians had not come to meet him, suggesting it might be because he was toxic. He replied by saying the questioner was a “nasty, nasty guy”.

If what’s done properly? What’s he even referring to?
After 7 1/2 years of continued scrutiny the Wizards of Wall Street have finally realized the total disaster of President Barack Obama’s economic policies. Yesterday’s steep decline corrected the performance of the DJIA during the Obama administration from an unrealistic 10,062 point increase to a more appropriate 9,451 point increase. You cannot fool the invisible hand of free market capitalism.
and since the pound dropped more people can afford to play his courses. huh?
the dow drops 600 the day the brexit vote is tallied but it was actually due to Wall Street’s worries about President Barack Obama’s economic policies and the U.S. debt. huh?
i am obviously befuddled by trump’s economic savvy.
What economic policy would you have put in place that would have insulated us from the effect of the brexit vote?
Good answer. It doesn’t matter whether they vote for Clinton, vote for Johnson, leave that line on the ballot blank, or just stay home. For the down-ballot races, I would prefer the last option, of course, but I’m not overly fussy.
Capt. Donald says " Full speed ahead " ! –
Aye Aye Captn’ ! —
Yes, I’m sure it was just a coincidence that this long-overdue correction took place on the day after the Brexit vote, and that it was mirrored by even steeper declines in other markets.
I’m reasonably sure that coimmigrant is just being snarky about Trump’s staggering insight.
Yeah. But it’s not going anywhere yet, if at all. Cameron has resigned and is essentially in a caretaker role. According to one of the tabloids over there he said, in an unguarded moment, ‘Why should I have to do the hard shit for someone else, just to hand it over to them on a plate?" The way forward, whether (or not) to invoke title 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, is up to Cameron’s successor and maybe even Parliament.
I understand that the petition for a redux was centered in urban areas and London, basically “remain” strongholds during the referendum. It would be interesting to find out what portion of the petitioners voted “leave” and did, in fact, change their minds. The Scots, oddly enough, aren’t very interested.
The petition for a second EU referendum was set up by William Oliver Healey on 25 May. He wrote: “We the undersigned call upon HM government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based on a turnout less than 75%, there should be another referendum.”
A parliament.uk map showed support for a second referendum was strongest in urban constituencies including Bristol West, Hornsey and Wood Green, and Jeremy Corbyn’s Islington North constituency, where more than 10,000 people signed the petition.
The lowest appetite was in Scotland, where some constituencies showed fewer than 500 supporters, although these areas have sparser populations on the whole.
Easy to see why Trump keeps going broke.
That is, indeed, the key. It’s certainly no surprise that the “remain” voters aren’t happy with the result.
The Scot’s, oddly enough, aren’t very interested.
Perhaps for them, Brexit raises the more intriguing possibility of breaking away from the U.K. and then… wait for it… joining the E.U.
Yes - that is exactly right and that is what Scotland and Ireland are gearing up to do.
Ireland and Scotland do a lot of business with the EU. This vote screwed both of them and the Scots responded to the vote with a renewed call for independence and Sinn Fein immediately called for a unified Ireland.
If Ireland could finally unify, that would be the brightest spot in all of this and the hardest hit of all was Northern Ireland.
the good ship Donald parked on a sandbar. come on aboard. investors welcomed.
Clearly a return to a self sufficient, isolationist economy that Trump will create in complete defiance of globalization.
By the way, British law firms started moving their HQs to Ireland months ago in case the brexit happened.
They didn’t want to get cut off from their business with the EU.
So far this looks like a possible boon for Ireland, for once.
N. Ireland 1st Minister has already said NO to any referendum in the near future.
Of course.
It’s Northern Ireland. They might change their mind eventually, however.
I can still hope! I really love the Irish and I really don’t think they should live in a divided country.
