Discussion: Trump: ‘Consequences’ For People Who Cross Border Illegally, Including Families

In the eyes of the repukes those old and decrepit folks can just f***off and die already. Too many of them are on Medicaid. Those takers!

… pretty much none of whom are currently locked up in these kamps.

How do I know? Because we’ll hear about it no more than 15 minutes after an ICE agent takes kids away from their mother only to discover that the mother is actually a pile of AR-15s in a trenchcoat and the kids were MS-13 kingpins. Trump or Nielsen would be pounding the podium, breathless from having run there, telling us they were right and anyone who thinks its wrong to pluck out the eyes of “bad hombres” is a death-loving cuck libtard.

Also, no child is a criminal just because their parent is a criminal.

I think we’re talking past one another here.

My reference was to THE TRUMP CRIME FAMILY.

Hmm. Quite possibly.

I didn’t know the Trump crime family had anything directly to do with human trafficking or drugs, although I have no doubt the Russian mafia they serve definitely does all of those things.

“and many are just using children for their own sinister purposes.”

You mean just like you’re using Ivanka?

I definitely plan on voting for this guy… the generic (ᴙ) candidate

And chain migrants and fake genius visa beneficiaries like the Knavs Family.

And there will be consequences for those that swear to support and defend our constitution and then use the power that flows from said constitution to inflict cruel and unusual punishment on those they have power over.

Yes, this tweet is going to convince the Judge, that the administration is not doing the family separations on purpose and that the kiddie concentration camps are a holdover of the previous administration.

Nothing, really. Torture, killing, property confiscation, and speech suppression by the Federal Government are all legal and Constitutional now.

Nobody is going to go to jail for this.

Well said. His conscious ignorance of the law and Holocaust mentality towards those he thinks “break it” for their own “sinister purposes” [OMFG!] (when he, in fact, is the law-breaker) are grounds for impeachment. Basically, he’s a vicious human rights abuser who is committing crimes against humanity (and US law).

Of course we all know this insistence punishing law breakers is going to evaporate in a few months, when a certain report of a certain special counsel comes out.

Trump is seeing the immigration issue slip away from him. Just like #trumprussia dispirits GOP voters, the sustained assaults against his inhumane and illegal detention policies are also sapping energy and motivation from key elements of the GOP coalition of motivation to vote.

What Trump is trying to do is to get back to the core high level points of his immigration agenda. There are several challenges he faces:

  • The policy is based on racial hatred and virtually nothing else.
  • The policy, as implemented, is plainly illegal, unconstitutional and likely violates international law. On this latter point, we need to research how to get a criminal referral made to The Hague and figure out how to get such an investigation opened at the global level. It’s high time that governments, even western ones, are no longer shielded from policies which violate human rights and treat refugees inhumanely.
  • There is no economic or national security justification for the harsh immigration policies.
  • The business community doesn’t support his policies as they are detrimental to the economy.
  • Suburban voters also view immigration as key to their regional prosperity. Therefore, immigration is not an abstract matter but a pocketbook issue. The VA 2017 elections were in part a rejection of Trumpist immigration policies. Suburban VA voters believed that GOP immigration and economic policies would hurt prosperity.
  • The Congressional GOP believes Trump’s policies are a disaster. The Koch Bros don’t support them which is why every Trumper immigration proposal has failed in Congress.

Agolf Hitler is destined to eventually be refused asylum as well as have them refuse to take his children.

Pffft. Laws are for losers.

Legal consequences do not authorize state sponsored kidnapping. Those who devised and directed the kidnappings, most especially Cabinet members, should be indicted under state law and extradited to Texas. There are local, South Texas prosecutors who have the power to do so.

Trump’s administration is like an old west town full of false fronts, reckless shootouts, migratory lobbyists and carpetbagging political opportunists.

In other words, Mel Brooks in ‘Blazing Saddles’.

Congress DOES hold the power of the purse and a Congress with a spine and a conscience could rein in Trumputin’s worst impulses.

Register people to vote. There is a Federal Voter Registration form you can download and use in all 50 states and US Territories- https://vote.gov/files/federal-voter-registration_1-25-16_english.pdf. Print out a bunch and keep them with you. Register people on the spot!

If you need to help people overcome the GOP-led voter-run-around campaign help them do that. This site, https://www.aauw.org/resource/organize-a-voter-registration-drive/, has a how-to on organizing a voter registration drive. Or just sitting outside Wal Mart with a folding chair and a card table. Yes, that’s the American Association of University Women.

And while we’re here organize a League of Women Voters chapter in your community if you don’t already have one. Fair, honest and above board. Democracy functions better with them involved.

More seriously–There should be several ranking officials in jail right now over this abomination. Starting with Miller and Nielsen.

That wall will never be built. They have had complete control over government–and nothing.
