This one is used to having “deals” collapse and slinking away to lie another day, but not in the full-on daylight with the whole world watching. Will be fun to see how the ball of sludge that is his mind handles this when he’s alone with it in the wee hours. Also will be fun to see how his talk radio pals handle it. Maybe Hannity did broker a deal with them on behalf of Mitch?

The big deal (!?!) is that Trump can’t multitask beyond eating a cheeseburger while watching Fox and Friends.

The utter relentlessness of grown-ups who can stick to a task for longer than an afternoon baffles him.

He has his shutdown fiasco bringing more pain. He has his approval rating headed for the toilet, not just in general, but among his cult. Muller is dropping one indictment after another. And Muller is the only thing he really cares about. (“Why does that guy keep coming. anyway? What’s in it for him?”) It’s what we might call, a Butch Cassidy Moment.
