Discussion: Trump Claims He 'Spoke Of The Name' Of US Soldier In Call To Soldier's Widow

It shouldn’t be too hard…Two of the men’s last names that were killed that day are named Johnson, and both were Sergeants. Geez…

They’ll bring back the draft and arrest draft resisters so they’ll have plenty of Black people either dying on the front lives or slaving away in private prisons. Don’t worry, it’ll all work out.

That’s right. And why are interviewers so inept as to not notice things like that and ask him what the soldier’s name was?

“spoke on the name” is probably the best an inarticulate man could do under spontaneous circumstances. I’m sure that remark was not planned because it begs for Sgt. Johnson’s widow to speak. No one actually believes Trump used the young man’s name. But up to this point it was the widow that was insulted not the dead soldier. This claim which is certainly a lie insults Sgt. La David.

Trump was in warm and fuzzy digs when he made the quip. I’m sure the FOX soft balls emboldened him and he came off the cuff with this remark. If it was true, that he used the soldiers name, the remarks would have been written for him, practiced by him and an agreement to set them up would’ve been made in the Green Room. It would have gone off well. The inelegance was the result of it all being Trump.

I’m sure she’s more concerned with her family right now. Probably isn’t paying any attention to this and she’s probably off of social media because of the trolls.

Who are you going to trust: Trump or multiple occupants of a vehicle listening on speaker phone?

Or as I call it, Operation Ugly Bridesmaid.

My father taught me at a young age that there were two ways to succeed in life.

One was to work hard, do your best, be ethical and thereby win the respect and acknowledgement of others.

The other was to try to make someone else look bad.

Dad was also clear that, while the second option may work in the short run, it will inevitably backfire, making one look even worse. I would also add to option two attempting to take credit for other people’s accomplishment.

Dad was a man of few words but he did impart his wisdom without fanfare or by lecturing.

Why did these soldiers die in Niger? It sure looks like it is because Trump added Chad to his travel ban. The soldiers that were defeating Boku Haram in Niger were from Chad and when they were added to the travel ban (for no real reason) they decided to stop fighting Boku Haram. Without the support of Chad soldiers our men were left exposed and that is why they were killed. It was a direct result of Trump and his travel ban.

But you know the GOP will hold no hearings over this because they don’t care about the good of the country or the soldiers who lost their lives. They only care about being in power.

"And by the way, I still don’t know his name, but everyone should applaud me for taking a few minutes away from my golf game for making the gesture.

Sure I’ve spent more time publicly congratulating myself for being the best president ever than I did on the phone with these people, but that’s because the fake news refuses to tell the world how great I am."

“Oh, and General Kelly – who was listening in on my conversation – was greatly offended that the wacky black lady in the hat was listening in on my conversation.”

Joey Ramone might be regretting his song about Bartiromo from the afterlife.

“And by the way, I spoke of the name of the young man, and I — it was a really — it’s a very tough call. Those are the toughest calls,” Trump said.

Oh, cry me a friggin’ river, Donnie. You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, asshole. If it’s too tough, please do the country a favor and resign.

‘He spoke of the name’? What the hell does that even mean? Sometimes, often actually, what comes out of his mouth is a perfect reflection of what’s in his mind. Garbage in, garbage out.

With this fucking moron in office, I would never suggest that anyone sign up for the military or the reserves. Hell, even retired military should get their Bone Spurs/unfit to serve documentation right now because I have no doubt that Tramp will use W’s EO to conscript them back into service.

I am sad to finally realize that things are going to get much, much worse before we can begin to hope for them to get better.

A very small vestigial penis.

And then there’s the “I spoke of the name” crap … who the hell is writing this shit? It’s far too “eloquent” for Trump … and yes that is sarcasm!
