Discussion: Trump Claims He 'Spoke Of The Name' Of US Soldier In Call To Soldier's Widow

Tell me, if you’re a young African-American, would you even consider signing up for the military knowing this racist is your Commander in Chief?

Something the military ought to worry about. Looking at you Kelly.

Actually, he went by the name “your guy” which is what trump called him in the conversation.

I find it odd that he taped the condolence call to the Gold Star mother in April (the one he released to confuse the issue), but he didn’t tape this one. You know there is a tape of the conversation. But, since it supports what the Johnson family said what happened, the tape will mysteriously disappear.

Trump — whose tweets sometimes contain spelling errors and randomly capitalized words — also relayed that he thinks he is well-suited for the medium.

“You know they are well-crafted,***” he said of his tweets. “I was always a good student. I am like a person that does well with that kind of thing. And I doubt I would be here if weren’t for social media, to be honest with you. Because there is a fake media out there, I get treated very unfairly by the media.”

Yes, they is learning ‘You can always find someone worse than you to make you look ‘not so bad, after all’, if you’re a Republican’.

At some point the dead soldiers widow is going to speak. Everyone with an appetite for the truth knows this mess went down exactly as Rep. Wilson said it did and that both Trump and Kelly were lying. Trump’s speaking the way a liar that feels time is providing cover does. As the incident moves back in time Trump gets bolder. Hence Kelly’s late recollections and this new one claiming ( I think ) that Trump used La David’s name during the call. No way he’d say that right after the incident because he had no idea what others could prove. But it seems, for now, the widow is going to stay silent and she’s the “one in the know” when it comes to this. She may be afraid to take on a POTUS like Trump and no one could blame her.

But she’s going to talk. Probably soon.

Our border collies clearly have a much higher IQ than he has. This year feels like a Mel Brooks movie.

“I am calling to extend condolences and express gratitude for what’s his name’s sacrifice”.

This is so offensive and unbelievable. He’s rush-shipping condolences by mail like some bastardized version of Dear Santa letters, not because he feels any true sorrow, but because he got caught in a horrible lie.

And no one is calling him out on this. Think about that General Kelly next time you walk around Arlington cemetery. Is that not unbelievable callousness to our brave soldiers?

He intends to create hell on earth for the majority of people on earth – no digging required. His nuclear blast will be the biggest and best!

Just ask him how he KNOWs what he’s saying is true. Ask him for a first hand source ( if he’s will to say she said it he should have one ) and then agree to debate on what she said as soon as he provides believable evidence that she said it.

It’s good to keep in mind that these so called conservatives don’t believe their own crap. They just like slinging it. If you want to know if your friend is in that category do some research and make sure Wilson didn’t say the words were racist or something that could be twisted into that interpretation and then bet him. That always works for me. If they don’t bet ( and he will not ) you know where’s he’s coming from ( he drug racism into the fray not Wilson ) and probably should find a new conservative friend.

At this point I think it is far better not to have the soldier’s name bandied about by the liar in chief or by all the news articles beating Trump up on this situation. It is enough that he has stirred up a shit storm on an outrageous topic. The family needs space to heal from their loss.

If you’re a young person of any race, I can’t imagine signing up for the military knowing this miserable fucker is quite likely to get you sent off to war.

‘Spoke of the name?’

For some no doubt inexplicable reason, I’m imagining something like this:

‘He knew what he was signing up for, he, uh, what was his name again?’

I should think at this point it’s crystal clear that words and meanings are completely unrelated things in RepubliTrump-speak.

It’s probably “comfortable surroundings” working in reverse. When you’re interrogating someone it sometimes helps to make them feel at ease. Let them have a coke and a burger, calm questions and lots of phony agreeing with them. Usually that’s employed to trick the truth out of the subject but if he’s in a “comfortable surrounding” that want’s him to lie, like FOX, it would embolden his lies. I’ll bet that claim was a bit of impromptu by Trump and his handlers back in the White House near fainted when he said it.

I wonder if there has been any tracking of who is signing up since trump’s inaugural. There has been some problem with white supremacists finding their way into our military. Getting their training and then using it to like… blow up federal buildings,

How much are we paying this Asshole-Predator-in-Chief to go golfing, again?

If he’s donating his salary, I want proof. Zinke and DeVos better have an accounting of that money for the first two quarters if that’s the claim.

He’s despicable.

Notice that Trump still did not mention Sgt. Johnson by name in the interview. Does he even know the name?
