@spencersmom If young people who are inclined join the military for reasons including getting an education, I hope they’re paying attention to this administration’s plans to privatize the VA. Imperfect as it may, it’s cost effective and better than finding a primary care doctor in the private sector which has too few right now.

Much as I like some of The Ramones’ songs, the truth is Joey Ramone was a reactionary right-wing Republican whack-job who, if he were still alive, would probably love Donald Trump. So I doubt Joey would regret his paean to Maria Bartiromo.

He has two things going on here. One he’s a master of media manipulation and unfettered access to it. Kelly’s useless to stop him, and so is anyone else. Two he also has something volatile to say which some day might come back to bite him on the ass. Self incriminating, or something like that.
He needs to be given a script that never changes that includes something like “the sacrifice of that heroic serviceperson” so he doesn’t have to be bothered with names. Take it a step further and make it one of those “smart” responses that puts in the name of the deceased based on the name associated with the number. All the widows, widowers, children, and other relatives could be given a number like 1-WHCondolen and a PIN to get their message. Let THEM call if they want condolences.
