How long before Jeb drops to being at the kiddie table at the debates? They set the bar at 3% in the polls to debate with the big boys, so heā€™s getting close. Although Iā€™m sure if Jeb does drop that much, whoever makes the rules will finally decide that everyone belongs on the main platform.

I canā€™t wait until bushie III has to drop out do to family ā€œillnessā€ (a/k/a tanking poll numbers)!

Come on jebbie, really?

Do you think anyone, even the most stupid gop/bag troll, wants another bush in the white house? Especially after what that last one did to this country?

Yep. No way they would ever allow Jeb to be dropped down to the kiddie table, it would be far too humiliating, not just for him, but for too many of the partyā€™s elite who have ponied up to his campaign.

He will resign before something like that happens.

Aside from all the baggage heā€™s got to haul around with him on the campaign trail - and Jeb! has at least as much, arguably more, baggage than even HRC - Jeb! must be the LEAST qualified presidential candidate ever for an exclamation point. Trump! would make some sense, but putting that thing at the end of the acronymic appellation of the Bush clanā€™s meekest most timid cautions milque-toastiest nothing burger product ever just comes off as feckless self-mocking.

Itā€™s not even necessary to stick a fork in him, now: either flush him down the garb-R-ator, or cart the whole sorry rancid mess out of the kitchen, carefully soā€™s not to slop over any Jeb! onto your flooring, pets or crawling children, slowly tip the full contents of the pan into your toilet, THEN straight away AFTER MAKING SURE TO CLOSE THE LID to prevent the spread of contagion or noxious fumes, flush, repeatedly and vigorously.

And at that point, you better have made sure to have stocked up on North Carolina strength industrial waste air freshener, cuz youā€™re gonna need it ā€¦!

I just saw an ad for Bush (I live near Boston and I assume it was aimed at New Hampshire). What struck me is that they lost the ā€œ!ā€ after his name. That JEB! thing turned out to be a total disaster.

Iā€™m waiting for the JEB! JEB? JEBĀ”Āæ cartoon.

Of course this is one poll, blah blah blahā€¦ Butā€¦

Kasichmentumā„¢ seems to have sputtered before it could sparkle.

And the Fiorina Bounce was remarkably short-lived.

Trump polled at 25 percent while Carson polled at 16 percent.

Another 25 percent of those surveyed said they ā€œdonā€™t knowā€ who to choose.

Sen. Marco Rubio (FL) and former technology executive Carly Fiorina tied for third at 8 percent.

Yet another poll where the unelected, unelectable top 3 is pulling right around 50%. This is a disaster for the GOP. And whether or not Trump wins the nomination, his continued polling dominance means whomever does win the nod will need his endorsement and/or his help on the campaign trail. They wonā€™t be able to just kick him out of the clown car and speed off.

So did Chris Christie just become ā€œother?ā€ Yikes time for him to go too. Jeb! would be on his way out too if he didnā€™t have all that money in the bank. But I have to believe that his fundraising is drying up fast.

Oh goodie. Trump in prime time at the Rupublican Convention. Who ever thought they could outdo Buchanan and Eastwood?

Damn, I wasnā€™t even thinking about the Convention, but you are exactly right. Heā€™s having such an impact on the race that they almost have to give him a spot at the Convention. If they donā€™t, he and his voters are going to be angry that he was left out. This is a mess.

The GOP establishment is going to have to do some serious bait and switch to make it seem as if JEB is the standard bearer of the party.

And the base will see right through that ploy.

Totally agree with Plucky that Rump has made himself a central figure within the party, win or lose and for a long time to come. He has the potential to be a kingmaker in the primary but a total loss leader in the general. JEB has always been operating under te illusion that Rump just makes JEB look better. Actually, itā€™s the opposite. But if JEB is the GOP nom, I seriously doubt heā€™ll ask for Rumpā€™s endorsement; he probably thinks he doesnā€™t need it.

Add ā€œGOP leadershipā€ to the list of classic oxymorons, right above ā€œjumbo shrimp.ā€

Iā€™m afraid he was born with a silver fork in him.

There are plenty of people stupid enough to vote for anyone with the ā€œRā€ by their name.

A few months ago, several Democrats were saying that Trump helps Jeb! and the other establishment figures by making them sound more reasonable in comparison. I thought that theory missed the point that Trumpā€™s candidacy pulled down the entire field and forced the seemingly reasonable to take positions they otherwise would not have. No one wouldā€™ve talked about birthright citizenship and the immigration debate wouldā€™ve never devolved as it did. Were it not for Trump, I doubt Fiorina and Carson would be doing nearly as well as they are, Walker would still be in the race, and Rand Paul and Jeb Bush wouldnā€™t be circling the drain.

Thereā€™s always a chance that if Trump is denied the nomination (or a good speaking slot, or the right kind of bottled water in his dressing room, or anything at all) he will take his ball and go home. Heā€™s not a party man and the convention is about party. Trump is a one man pathology of ego run amok.
