Yep, thatâll win the election for Donnie. If anyone know vicious demons, itâs DonnieâŚ
The only ones who were offended by the basket comment were those occupying the basket.
You know, the Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it
In the 30-second spot titled âDeplorable,â a narrator says that Clinton told âwealthy donorsâ that âtens of millions of Americansâ are "deplorable."
âYou know whatâs deplorable?â the narrator asks. "Hillary Clinton viciously demonizing hard working people like you."
Though her response to this ad should be obvious, no one can say that this Trumpâs ad wasnât expected.
Oh wellâŚwelcome to a wonderful week of semantics.
Once again, the fact is that these people ARE deplorable.
Racists, misogynists, religious intolerants, bigots and the like are clearly deporable, and should be called out as such. Donald Trump is the enabler of all of this, and is the most deplorable of all.
None of these vermin would ever vote for HRC anyway.
I dunno⌠this actually sounds like one of those moments when Hillary should actually double downâŚ
Wait, what? The Trump campaign paid money to broadcast her message? Great! They were even kind enough to include the context that sheâs talking about âracist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, islamophobicâŚâ Cool!
First of all, itâs that stupid hat thatâs deplorable. Itâs the only thing that can make you look worse when youâre panderliciously passing out boxes of Play-Doh to flood victims.
More seriously, the concern about being lumped in with all those tacky deplorable types is in fact a huge problem for a lot of people whoâd happily vote for Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush. They donât like Trumpâs supporters and they donât like Trump. So I think the genius businessman is going to cause himself a possible net loss by running this ad.
A great response, obviously, would simply show trump supporters at any of his ralliesâŚ
I think she already did. Playing the long game, her statement in my mind was a plant or trick if you will to get Donniebrook to respond, And he has. By running this ad or even using her words in any medium, it reinforces the fact that many of his camp followers are in fact racists, etc.
Her words IMHO were carefully chosen to explicitly engender a response. Perhaps it could have been more artfully crafted. But still, knowing the press was in attendance, this was no slip of the tongue as Herr Trump usually doesâŚday after day!
We can expect more explicit language from HRC that again is designed to elicit a Trumpian reply, a reply that no doubt will reinforce to the average voter that he really is drawing upon the darkest of forces in American politics. If her message is anything, it is the fact that all the racist, anti-imimigrant, anti-woman voters ARE on his side and right thinking voters should reject his candidacy once and for all.
Most Americans seem to agree that Trump is racist and so are a lot of his supporters. People wonât get hung up on âabout halfââŚthey already know itâs a significant amount.
The cluelessness of Trump, his ad people and his base is absolutely breathtaking.
The Clinton campagin needs to release an ad showing all the headlines of Trump supporters violence and hate speech⌠And then show trumps own wordsâŚ
Then ask the pertinent questionâŚ
"if you donât support this⌠***Then why are you supporting Trump?***"
I doubt that most of Trumpâs poorly educated supporters even know what âdeplorableâ means.
I hate to be snarky but I bet a lot of people donât really know what deplorable means. Even a dictionary definition would be something like, âworthy of disapproval.â Itâs a pretty meek insult when you think about it. And itâs funny that they use the word deplorable instead of saying that Clinton thinks a bunch of Trump supporters are racist, sexist homophobes. Because I would venture that many of Trumpâs supporters would be more than willing to wear that mantle, while the other half would secretly agree while trying to tell themselves that keeping taxes low is still the most important thing. I just donât see how this hurts Clinton at all.
Wait, this ad actually makes Hillaryâs point for her. It shows her righteously calling out âracists, sexistsâŚâ and then the ad goes on to say that those terms describe âpeople like you.â
Yep, Looks âdeplorableâ to me.
with a caption that asks âare you one of these people?â
Iâm assuming they tested this ad with a focus group, but Iâm having a hard time seeing how it is a damaging as they might want to believe. So am I only supposed to be offended if Iâm one of the aforementioned groups?
It just seems a little weak, particularly given the source is Trump, who routinely calls for supporters to knock the crap out of the losers who donât support him.
then run an ad showing that behavior. Trumpâs comments can be part of the background.
wait what?
