Actually, this has always been bigger than Watergate.

The DOJ spying on criminals? What is this country coming to?

Dude. All that happened months ago. It’s not new. Try to keep up.

“Bigger than Watergate” ? Yes,and what happened to President Nixon, Donald ?

Yes, and if news of the informant, and the reasons attached, had been released before the election, that could have affected the outcome. Trump is as confused as ever. Or, rather, sewing doubt based on a non-issue, as he knows how to do.

TPM–

Please include the following in your article–The judiciary has ruled that informants are an essential part of law enforcement and if POTUS doesn’t know this, he can always ask.

This is a desperate tweet from a man who’s ready to wipe out rule of law to save his hide. Don’t give the slightest whiff of legitimacy to his outbursts.

Dear Great Orange Gasbag:

It’s bigger than Watergate. But not in the way you think.

You’re going to jail, traitor.

…the New York Times reported Wednesday afternoon that “at least one” government informant met with Trump campaign national security advisers Carter Page and George Papadopolous several times during the 2016 campaign.

And I’m glad the FBI spied on your miserable rodent-faced treasonous stooges. Yeah! I’m glad. HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa. I’m sorry the FBI didn’t microchip you while you were sleeping; one with a secret barcode like the one Agent Scully had. That woud have made me even gladder, orange faced psycho-mango.

I seem to recall Trumpp initially denying that he even knew who Papadopolous was. Photos of the two around a meeting table shut that down.

I don’t remember what the initial reaction was when Page’s name was first connected with the investigation, but it is a safe bet that the Trumpp camp implied that his role in the campaign was on the order of keeping the copier trays filled with paper.

When Trump made this argument a year ago accusing Obama of spying on him, my answer was, ‘why are your team members talking to Russians? Of course, you should be spied upon!’ The media milked the Trump angle and only disposed of it 2-3 months later. Here, Trump is going back to the same well. The answer is simple, “suspected traitors ought to be spied upon.”. That’s what we’re dealing with. That’s what all the Trump Tower interviews speak to: a group of thugs that were willing to conspire with agents of a foreign power to break the law in order to win an election.

“Probably no doubt?”

Yeah, he actually spoke the truth for once. But it is clear that he really does not understand this truth at all: neither how much bigger it is nor what that means for him (i.e., Nixon got off easy, Spanky).

It’s like on one level his brain gets it, but on the other hand, the Ray Cohn ™ filter means that he’s pretending the warning signals are simply minor irritations, rather than actual dangers.

"Fox and Friends" should be renamed "Fox and Felons."

Yup, and President Nixon made the same claim trump does now:

How’d that turn out for Nixon again?

The entire Republican Party weren’t a bunch of traitors back then though. Currently every right winger in America is a literal traitor.
