The efforts to obscure what they were doing would negate any defense counsel attempts to paint Trumpâs crimes as unfortunate misunderstandings and ignorance of campaign laws. Combine that with the multiple subsequent denials that Trump did exactly what Mueller uncovered and you have a strong case of consciousness of guilt.

The judicial system is predisposed to look the other way on exactly these types of infractions, especially when the perps are squarely ensconced in the racial and socioeconomic profile Trump sits in. You can take a $50,000 check made payable to the âBob Smith for Governorâ campaign fund, use it for a vacation to Bermuda, and MAYBE get fined and made to pay it back. I just donât see Trump in truly hot water for bribing a couple adult entertainment women to keep quiet for awhile. That it may have helped him win the election is a complicating factor, but eventually itâll be minimized and explained away also.
