This is a bit off-topic.
I know HO stands for “Hillary’s Opponent” and that the President is the one who used that phrase, and that some don’t want to contribute in any way to Trump’s brand so they don’t want to use his name.
But - whenever I see “HO” I see the H and think Hillary! And I see the O and think Obama - because the capital H and capital O were or are part of their campaign logos. So it takes me a moment to translate (perhaps because I’m a bit slower these days.)
May I respectfully propose that the acronym be changed slightly to h.o. It preserves the Obama’s phrase, is clearly an acronym, has nothing to do with our current or our next presidents or their campaign brands, and on top of that, I don’t think Trump deserves capitalization.
He has not clarified how this profiling would apply to immigrants who have lived in the U.S. for years, like the suspect in the Minnesota stabbing, or U.S. citizens like Mateen.
How about everyone just sum up every story about Trump with those five words as a preamble to their final paragraph?

Profiling of muslims in was conducted in your NYC for years after 9/11, costing millions, undermining support of muslim communities, and found nothing. Israel does profile, mostly by ‘quick’ psychological questioning of all peoples, looking for nerve impulses and ‘inconsistent’ statements, largely at commuter centers, but still has terrorist attacks.
The NYPD’s surveillance program swept up Muslim communities throughout NYC, as well as every mosque within 100 miles of New York (PA, CN, NJ). The FBI said the profiling harmed national security by sowing mistrust for law enforcement in Muslim communities. The police acknowledged that it never generated a lead.

These citizens seized Federal property, threatened violence and aimed weapons at law enforcement officers. We have a lot of profiling to do. Every white male and their female accomplices between the age of 18 and 75 professing a pronounced disenchantment with the Federal government and vocal, public support of an unfettered, unlimited right to own almost any weaponry manufactured on the planet is someone needing special scrutiny. That would number in the millions I speculate.
