Discussion: Trump Booed For Knocking Donor Audience At GOP Debate (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #245653

Loved this. But I hope we get verification. Did only donors and special interest groups get audience tickets? If this is true, I applaud Trump for revealing this. It adds a new dimension to boos and applauding.

I love the smell of Republican fratricide on a chilly February evening. Makes me want to pour a nice glass of Schadenfreude 2016.

The 2016 vintage is showing very well so far. Hope it ages well–I’m really looking to enjoying it in November. Food note: pairs well with revenge (especially when served chilled) but does not go with crow.

The guy up there seared to a golden brown hue is Jeb. He’s toast! As is Rubio and the brain surgeon.

We often hear the phrase “circular firing squad”. This has been the best demonstration of what that means that I have ever seen. Too bad so many of them are such lousy marksmen.

Ultimately it won’t matter whether it was true or not. The news cycle has a clip of Donald Trump being roundly booed at the Republican debate. Nothing else will matter.

Say goodnight, Donald.

Anyone else notice a big applause following Bush. Does that mean he has the most donors in the audience?

I had to turn it off. Cruz’s voice is more than I can take.

You could have boycotted this debate, Donny. That would’ve showed 'em!

Let’s not forget brother George’s use of eminent domain to build the Texas rangers stadium and then selling off the unused property at a huge profit

Perhaps the Trump death spiral has actually begun.

Wrong! Fail!
They weren’t booing, they were mooing because they see Trump as such a cash cow that does nothing but bring in campaign and advertisement dollars.

Trump has had a target on his back for quite a while now and he’s hung in there. The dumber than the other dumber Bush should watch out for the law of unintended consequences. He’s going to get everyone looking at him and he isn’t Trump wise or anyone smart. If he keeps it up, the very same critiques will come right at him and that could get real ugly, real fast but I would love it.
So all’s good in the hood, tear each other up boys!

Trump got booed???
I should’ve watched.
I would like to see a public smackdown of that man.
I’d like to know who was in the audience.

The reason they’re not loving me is,

Why Donald runs.

Damn! I hate it when I find myself agreeing with something Trump says. Jane Mayer’s new book, Dark Money: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right, really underscores the whole donor problem.

tRump getting booed will be a plus, not a minus, to his most devoted fans. See, he called out all those privileged pansies with suspicious motives, those people who buy their way with money, and stuck up for his peeps, the real Americans swillin’ the beer in their underwear out there in TV Land. The Donald loves his peeps and supports them and says all the things they’ve been dying to say to politicians, even if they didn’t know it before. That booing will only swell his popularity among those who already love him.

As much as the audience must have hated him (and would you be surprised if the audience was indeed made up of donors?) I think Trump’s argument would play well with the TV voters. When you add the fact that he was arguing with Jeb! who has no support outside the billionaire class, it would make even more sense to TV voters that Trump is right. Because only the donor class would support Jeb! at this point.

Trump to the Republican Party:
“Shut up and declare me the nominee already!”
