Discussion: Trump Bashes 'Grandstanders' Who Quit His Panel In Wake Of Charlottesville

"Shortly after Trumpā€™s tweet Tuesday, Scott Paul, president of the Alliance for American Manufacturing, also said he would drop out of the council. Paul, head of the group that aims to promote American manufacturing, said "itā€™s the right thing for me to do."

Somebody needs to update this to ā€œHoursā€ not ā€œDays.ā€

@antisachetdethe grandstanders.

Heā€™s got lots of ā€œbest peopleā€ still on tap.

WHile he is then passive-aggressively begging for their validation

He hires only the best people.

Who donā€™t want to be associated with him.

Hope this inspires more to drop out. At this point, if you continue to allow yourself to be associated with this national embarrassment in any way, shape or form, you get what you deserve.

Reminiscent of his tirades against financial institutions that would not invest

Funny how both of them have been silent during and post Charlottesville.
Especially since junior is a big Pepe the frog guy and was in Mississippi defending the flag of treason.

A poster pointed out earlier today that Trump is stupid to draw attention to this for just that reason. The more bad publicity being on this panel brings the members and their corporations, the more theyā€™ll drop out.

Rump is a White nationalist. No two ways about it.

These companies are mostly in the Fortune 500, with an international footprint and they canā€™t be seen as supporting outright racist organizations.

ā€œAnd some of you are friends and youā€™re going to call, and youā€™re going to say, ā€˜Mr. President, youā€™re driving us crazy, youā€™re winning too much, please Mr. President, not so much,ā€™ and Iā€™m going to say 'Iā€™m sorry, weā€™re going to keep winning because we are going to make America great again.ā€ā€™"

Oh wait, you meant to say ā€œwhiningā€? In the immortal words of Tommy Smothers: ā€œthat changes everything.ā€

What Iā€™m interested to see as time goes on if any foreign companies that are operating manufacturing plants in America (i.e., BMW and AIrbus in the South) decide to pull up stakes and go somewhere else.

(Or, is that a different issue altogether?)
