Discussion: Trump Attacks 'Filthy' Restaurant That Refused To Serve His Press Secretary

Let’s have a contest:

How many health department violations has Red Hen had?

How many health department violations have Trump properties had?

Let me know, ok?

@inversion - and there ya go (see below, folks).

Defamation, pure and simple. Claiming a restaurant is dirty is defamatory and actionable, and there is nothing in the Constitution that immunizes a President from a state tort claim.

And it is also illegal for the President or any government employee to use official communications to attack a private business.

Professor Gates. Remember the days when it was inappropriate’ for the President to weigh in on local issues, like a Professor, trying to enter his own home, was placed on fear of his life by local cops? And was forced to sit down for a ā€˜beer summit’ to ā€˜make it right’?

I long for the day when the RW of this country applies the same standards to their own as they do everyone else, but I’m not holding my breath.

I like that, and if I worked there I would probably pass the plate around the kitchen so everybody could put in a little extra, but I think this refusal of service plays into their hands.

There is a built in propaganda network that can create outrage, take it from zero to sixty in seven seconds, and largely make faux outrage the new topic of discussion. I respect the person who threw Sanders out, I think I understand why she did, but it still feels like an unforced error to me.

Unsafe seafood. Insufficiently refrigerated meats. Rusty shelving. Cooks without hairnets.

Reports show Florida health inspectors cited U.S. President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort with 15 violations in late January, days before the leader hosted Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for a visit.

Still, the state inspectors allowed the luxury resort’s main restaurant and beach club grill to remain open as staff scrambled to make several immediate corrections.

It’s hard to imagine too many things that would arouse Trump’s ire like being deprived of the ability to stuff one’s fat face.

Hilarious weekend for me. I’m a ā€œregularā€ at the other Red Hen Restaurant located in South Jersey. It is in no way affiliated with the Red Hen in Lexington VA - just the same name.

http://www.theredhen.biz/

On Saturday they received approximately 40 phone calls with callers basically yelling at them and hanging up. Of course they wanted to call ā€œcorporate headquartersā€ and stupid threats like that.
I suggested new tee-shirts that say ā€œThe Other Red Henā€.

According to a 1991 Associated Press report, Kathleen and Thomas Purgatorio, then in their sixties, ate the ā€œsalmonella-tainted mousseā€ at a restaurant called Buffet by the Sea in Trump’s Castle Hotel and Casino on Oct. 16, 1989. Kathleen felt sick afterwards, Purgatorio-Howard recalls, but nowhere near as ill as her father who she told The Daily Beast ā€œwent from walking into the hospital to being in intensive care on a ventilator in a coma.ā€

A Las Vegas Strip restaurant bearing the initials of celebrity financier Donald Trump was briefly shut down after health inspectors found violations including month-old caviar and expired yogurt.

okie, i’m going to do laundry now.

Don’t worry about it Don, you’re not welcome at the Red Hen either.

This Red Hen was in Lexington, VA…not in DC area.

Of course, Sanders was happy to eat at this filthy restaurant.
It reminds me of the two Jewish women eating the Catskills (courtesy of Woody Allen):
ā€œThe food is terrible here.ā€
ā€œYes, and such small portions.ā€

Stochastic terrorism. Reaching out to his vast pool of followers to speak personally to the one willing to do something terrible.

And yes, also libelous. illegal as hell and indecent, but the potential for violence is what worries me most just this second.

Well, considering they refuse to cooperate with the IGs, the GAO, FOIAs, and every other manner of oversight, and when even the few times where one of them has been officially found to have violated the rules/laws, like Kellyanne, they have refused to hold them accountable, I’m guessing the next step in their ā€˜plan’ will be to strip the restaurant owner naked, parade her through the streets, and force her to bow and kiss the hem of Trump’s… tie.

You may be shaking your head, thinking I’m being hyperbolic, but you know I’m right. At least about what he’s thinking.

I long for the day when Dems are back in power and the RW tries its faux outrage shit on tan suits or beer summit or holding up an SC appointment and Dems fire back with Nazi sez wut and then go about the biz of running the country.
