Discussion: Trump: Asking If I’d Pardon Michael Cohen Is A ‘Stupid Question’

I know, I know he’s like this, but every new instance still just astounds me how obvious he is about this shit.

Stupid maybe in that the answer is obvious. Now is time for a responsible press to start asking this stupid question more often.

EW. Just EW.

Retching…

A better question: Does Trump think Cohen is going to flip on him?

Would like to see if Trump can answer while 1) deflecting the implication that Cohen has knowledge of bad acts by Trump, and 2) avoiding mention of a pardon as quid pro quo for Cohen staying quiet.

Ha! Sorry about that!
And you’re spot on

You got me stumped for a bit, knowing your brilliant wit
But then again, knowing Spanky’s proclivities…by golly! I got it!

I can see that bloated, raw-dogging dotard’s orifice, serving as funnelled receptacle of nephrological waste…

Oh Lordy!..gross to most of us, but not to Presidente el despreciable.

If I’m not mistaken and I’m no lawyer only somebody who Googles looking for answers, I think he cannot pardon Cohen because it’s state offense. It’s unfortunate that the most ignorant prez we ever had doesn’t know this.,

  1. Federal convictions only

Under the Constitution, only federal criminal convictions, such as those adjudicated in the United States District Courts, may be pardoned by the President. In addition, the President’s pardon power extends to convictions adjudicated in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and military court-martial proceedings. However, the President cannot pardon a state criminal offense. Accordingly, if you are seeking clemency for a state criminal conviction, you should not complete and submit this petition. Instead, you should contact the Governor or other appropriate authorities of the state where you reside or where the conviction occurred (such as the state board of pardons and paroles) to determine whether any relief is available to you under state law. If you have a federal conviction, information about the conviction may be obtained from the clerk of the federal court where you were convicted.

But is it? First, AFAIK he hasn’t actually been charged with anything yet, and second, his case was referred to the SDNY, which is actually a federal district court (just not a part of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel office).

Your fuller explanation is why I led with an “I’m not a lawyer” disclosure Maybe Cohen will offer to tell everything he knows about trumPP in exchange for leniency or a shorter sentence, and then even if a pardon follows, the truth about PP’s corruption will be out there.

@ajileye As long as we’re in the toilet

Morarji Desai, the Indian leader from 1977-1979, was interviewed on ABC News and 60 Minutes about his habit. In the ABC interview with Barbara Walters, Desai spoke at length about how he considered urine therapy a “cure for almost all diseases.” He claimed the practice could even help with cataracts “if you catch them at the beginning and continue washing your eyes with it.” On 60 Minutes with Dan Rather, he proclaimed urine therapy the “perfect” treatment for the millions of Indians who could not afford professional care at that time.

A man who’s now president boasting of sexual assault gets quoted over and over again. When do we let go of that? Today would be a good day to quit it.

Oy Vey!

I heard the late Indian prime minister, Indira Gandhi extol the same thing.

Maybe it’s the water in India. P.S. If you’ve ever had to make a urine collection for say a urologist you know how gross the container gets. Just sayin’. On behalf of a friend who wants to get the word out.
