Guess Mueller is getting fired before he can issue that Don Jr indictment.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the outgoing Anti-Trumpers (Flake, Corker) would help block approving donnie’s AG replacement.

I have a feeling some state AG’s are gonna be watching their inboxes for messages with large attachments…

Jeffy has a new gig already lined up!

Couldn’t he just issue it now? I would think he has a week or so before they get to him…???

He’s not going anywhere.

A brief, probably hopeless, plea for nuance and sanity:

Robert Mueller’s reaction to this news is probably not :open_mouth: “Oh, oh gosh, can the President do that? I had no idea this might happen! I guess I’ll just go ahead and get fired now.”

I don’t know what the plan is, but I know Mueller understands the intricacies of the system better than I do, and I know I know them better in turn than Donald Trump does. There is some sort of plan, and I bet it’s pretty good.

I know it’s easier, and apparently more fun, to just beat around the fucking bush and try to out-doom and out-gloom your buddies. We all knew Sessions was going to be out this week. It was the worst-kept political secret on the planet.

And Hillary was going to trounce Trump a couple years ago.

And you’ve said “this is it, he’s being fired!” two hundred times.

There is a lot of dust on that line.

I’m not sure, but I think the U.S. AG can order the retraction or dropping of an issued Federal indictment.

What, Robert Bork wasn’t available?

I didn’t expect them to try to move this quickly against Mueller, but after Trump’s comments at the press conference about the “Russian hoax” it looks like they decided to go all in on shutting Mueller down. They may think they can pull it off before the Democrats take over in January, but even if they get rid of Mueller they can’t get rid of the investigation, and the Democrats will reopen it and pursue it vigorously despite whatever Republicans try to do to shut it down.
