Nope. There is no wall in that area. It is inside the line of where the wall might be if it existed. If you asked me to fence your property, and I only covered 3 of 4 sides, you wouldn’t consider the property “fenced off”.

Yes. But, as I recall, most of the Vatican still is off-limits from St. Peters. You can only visit the museums and the Sistine Chapel. The rest is walled off.
I think the Donald Trump campaign makes an excellent irrefutable, factual point about the walls around the Vatican. Great comeback and put down. Wish I’d thought of this.
This is the latest Trump equivalent of shooting someone in the face on Fifth Avenue, but sooner or later the person shot will be himself.

Yes you are right. you can also visit the Vatican Gardens, all of these accessed through the Museum entrance. My point is that comparing it to a typical border wall ( although it actually is one) is wrong.
