Well we will find their addresses.

My new guess: Trump and Repubs hope that going through the motions of an investigation, regardless of results, will compel several “no” votes to switch to “yes”.

Was Trump’s agreement required here?

Trump must want Kav gone and is too chickenshit to yank the nomination and would rather Kav withdraw himself. Maybe Trump enjoys Kav twisting in the wind.

ETTD on steroids. The R’s on the Judiciary Committee, Kav, Kav’s family and friends, Georgetown Prep and Yale are feeling the effects of Shit Midas. When will people learn.

Define “limited”

“Limited in scope.”
I think the fix is in, dammit. What does that even mean? Not asking the questions you don’t want the answers to?

Leadership, I tell ya. Strong, reluctant leadership.

The Republicans who called for and agreed to this must be called out on Twitter this weekend … by blaming the Democrats.

Well, that rage high didn’t last long

Would love to listen in on conversations this weekend between Judge and Kavanope.

To this point, nothing about Kavanaugh’s nomination process has been on the level. With ambiguous hedge phrases like “limited in scope” and “only credible allegations” setting parameters for this FBI investigation, look for Republicans to use it to try to change the perceptual dynamics to show themselves to be fair, open minded. In the meantime they’ll work furiously behind the scenes to obstruct and run out the clock. One can only hope that the additional time will allow for more people to come forward and more evidence to be uncovered through journalistic investigations.

And that’s a bad thing because??

And to follow up on that: if it goes down like this, it will work.

trump changed his tune pretty fast so something big must have been revealed to him. McTurtle would have plowed on through this, so I don’t think the FBI is “show.” Cornyn wanted a vote before something else turned up. Guess they were too late,

White House had to order it.

Good news, forced into it though they were.

In other good news, the D.C. federal district court ruled that the congressional dems have standing and their lawsuit against Trump for violating the Emoluments Clause can proceed. (Blumenthal v. Trump)
