Outside the norm, but in line with what Americans are thinking.
Wow.
Trump: As I evolve in my thinking in next few weeks, I would be where Obama is on virtually every issue.
Americans are not normal, they are exceptional.
Whistling past the graveyard, are we? Romney lost women by 10 points and was defeated. Trump is on track to lose women by nearly 40 points. Considering women are 53% of the electorate, that would be a heller of a stompdown. That would lead to a defeat not seen since 1964, perhaps worse.
There will be no Muslim ban, no mass deportations, no wall that Mexico will pay for, no self financing. The guy is total fraud. The weird part is everyone knows it and millions still support him.
I am as confident today that Trump will win as I was confident at the end of May 2008 that Obama would win; I was thrilled in 2008, I’m horrified today. And it has nothing to do with the Clinton/Sanders debacle. It won’t matter. This is Trump’s America, and I’m just living trapped in it
I’ve had it with this nonsense. Screw this guy, screw Trump, screw the media for being his lapdog, and screw all the people who are gullible enough to fall for his horsecrap.
I’m guessing he’ll change his stance on just about everything depending on what he thinks will get him the most votes.
That’s because people have lost any notion that the government is of, by, and for the people. It’s a farce run by connected insiders, so it may as well be treated as such. Voting for Trump is saying “Fuck You” to the feckless elites, and as such it’s pretty funny.
So Manafort is admitting that you can’t take Trump at his word on anything; that it’s all about getting votes. Of course, at some point in the next 24 hours, Trump will state that he’s not “moderating” anything, but then will proceed to start moving off of this and other outrageous positions.
Americans are being asked to vote for a man who has absolutely no fixed view or position on any of the issues of the day, who has consistently lied about everything, who is intent on campaigning based on personal insults and attacks.
Shame on anyone who votes for or supports this revolting person.
So now they will admit it was all reality show hyperbole talking.
Trump’s been able to get away with his bipolar views on every issue…but it won’t last.
Bernie’s still nipping at Hillary’s heels, thereby preventing her and especially the media, from shining the klieg lights onto Trump. (And the e-mail thing doesn’t help).
But that day will come. And when it does, Trumo will have to make a decision: disappoint his extremist base or write off middle America.
For me, I can’t see him moving to the middle. He’s just a born instigator and rabble rouser. He just loves getting a rise out of people.
Lets see if the xenophobic Trump supporters notice this flop. Some how I doubt it.
Don’t hold back tell us how you really feel
They’ll claim it is all part of Drumpf’s master plan.
Come on, he’s a Trump guy. You can’t expect him to know what a big word like “norm” means.
This really isn’t even the most disturbing thing in the interview.
Take a gander at this little nugget
The vice presidential pick will also be part of the process of proving he’s ready for the White House, Manafort said.
“He needs an experienced person to do the part of the job he doesn’t want to do. He seems himself more as the chairman of the board, than even the CEO, let alone the COO.”
“There is a long list of who that person could be,” Manafort added, “and every one of them has major problems.”
The campaign probably won’t choose a woman or a member of a minority group, he said. “In fact, that would be viewed as pandering, I think.”
Now, putting aside the “pandering” comment for a moment, because there is a ton of delusional thinking regarding women voters, Hispanic voters, all voters in this interview, and just focus on rest of it for a moment.
Trump is seeing himself as Chairman of the Board, and not as CEO or COO. He wants a VP to do all the day-day things, while he stays above the fray and, I admit I am guessing, just does the PR stuff.
In essence, Trump wants to turn the White House into a “The Apprentice”, where whenever one of his bizarre ideas blows up, he just blames it on the VP, fires him, and brings in another one.
Totally circumventing the electoral process, the Constitution and reality in the process.
Now I get that Trump has no grasp of what the actual job of being President entails, but surely Manafort does. To trot this out there while maintaining a straight face just blows my mind.
Forget the Etch a Sketch; Rump is a dry erase board! Anyone who believes a word of it must be sniffing the markers.
