Gov. Scott Walker’s spokesman Tom Evenson
This is a minor thing, I know, but Walker has a spokesman do his bidding? He can’t address the issue himself?
How about having Medicaid recipients wear a special badge? Yellow is a good color.
Medicaid Drug Tests
We’re very sorry , but that is unconstitutional
Rick Scott and his band of goosesteppers tried that shit in Florida for welfare and were smacked down by the Fl Supremes
In the fine grifting tradition Scott’s wife coincidentally had a drug testing firm that would get the contract to test them all
Dirty Rotten Grifting Motherfuckers
Look around see who is going to make a buck
I think all the Wisconsin legislators get subsidized health care , so by their logic they should be tested too
No his foot keeps trying to find it’s way into his mouth every time he opens it
Well, in situations like this, when one decision so clearly harms a greater number of people, even to the point of death, I think the response of this administration to the request is obvious.
Their thoughts and prayers down the road are, as always, purely optional. But I for one say “Godspeed, Wisconsin. Hope to see you on the other side.”
dear god, has this tired old canard reared its ugly head again? The Party of Hateful Dickwads busily wasting your tax dollars…
Drug addiction is a real problem. This would be a stupid and ineffective way of dealing with it. But, of course, that’s not the purpose of the requirement.
“CMS declined to answer TPM’s questions on when a decision will be made on Wisconsin’s waiver and how the administration views the drug testing proposal. Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services declined to answer TPM’s questions about the new requirements.”
If it’s such a good idea, both agencies would be quite anxious to describe it, answer questions, and tell how this great answer to drug addiction could be replicated everywhere.
By the way, what are you doing for all the opioid addicts who aren’t on medicaid? I mean, besides encouraging them to vote Republican.
ETA: While we’re talking about tests to be eligible for things … how about a Civics test for presidential candidates - House and Senate, too.
Question: Is there nothing under the sun that can escape immediate judgement and punitive action from these people?
Years of lax oversight in the spirit of deregulation created this mess. And now Walker and his tribe want credit for fixing a problem they exacerbated.
Some peopke are color blind, so probably also make their badge the shape of a star, triangle, or trapezoid shape of wisconsin cheese wedge.
Can’t even enjoy a joint during retirement? WTF!?
The WI Supremes are a strange lot. The conservatives hold a 4-3 majority and just might OK this if it lands on their docket.
Doesn’t make it constitutional, of course, just that the decision might not match Florida’s.
I think everyone should be required to wear bikinis.
For what its worth, I scored very high on my drug test…
What Constitution?
btw: there are some folks who suffer from chronic pain due to all sorts of conditions…scoliosis of the spine, osteoarthritis, and many others that can be treated and function maintained by the use of opiate medications. Are these people, who get their drugs by prescription completely legally and for legitimate medical reasons, now to be denied their health insurance thru medicaid? If so that would be, well, cause for torches and pitchforks in my opinion.
EEEEeekkk…Cause for extreme shock around the darr residence should I be forced into a bikini.
For you a manzere then.
Had to look that one up. It never fails that my vocabulary expands while hanging out at TPM. btw: I may be a retired old fart but I’m not yet grossly over weight like a certain orange monster.
Now back to the eye bleach
That came from a Seinfeld episode. George’s father’s great idea.
This proposal is not even wrong. It’s stupid and evil on so many interlocking levels that it could only have come from modern republicans.
