Discussion: Trump Admin's Decision Looms On Wisconsin's Bid For Medicaid Drug Tests

The primary beneficiaries of Medicaid are hospitals and healthcare providers. Medicaid writes the checks to them, not to the people on Medicaid. When you take coverage away from the poor, they just show up in the Emergency Room sicker and needing more expensive care. The resulting bills are not paid and hence the costs have to be absorbed by the hospitals and/or passed on to the rest of us.

Do “rural” oxy addicts get a free pass?

In what possible legitimate way can it make sense to deny health care to people with drug problems?

We know this game. This is all about punishing ‘bad’ people. Especially nonwhite people, who from the perspective of Scott Walker and his fans are automatically bad until proven otherwise.

As I always say and expect no action. ALL government employee need a pee test. They take tax dollars and act irrationally. President "Orange barrel* " really needs to be first in line to prove there is no need for concern.

  • Orange barrel - an LSD brand for those of you not familiar.

My mom went for moo-moos back in the 60s/70s.

Holy smoke! Is that still in use?

That’s just wrong – they shouldn’t have to force you.

And, with the GOP writing it, I wouldn’t be surprised if it neglected to properly handle a case where someone fails the drug test due to prescribed use of legal medication.

It probably also doesn’t handle the cases where the drug test is wrongly analyzed, or where the results don’t come back because the lab is overbooked. But it does exactly what’s intended when the only drug treatment slot available is a nonresidential program at the other end of the state.
