Discussion: Trump Adds More Fuel To Cover Fire As WH Anticipates Mueller Report

He really has me confused now… then why he ordered his congressmen to vote for its release?

People will not stand for it! Then I guess he wants them to take a knee. Just my opinion.

"People will not stand for it.”

That’s true – most of us will need to be sitting down, with alcohol handy.

Desperate nonsensical rantings devoid of logic or truth.

People on TV always talk about the impact of the Mueller report in civilized lawyer terms - will there be sealed indictments to toll the statute of limitations, that kind of thing. My spidey sense is that’s not where it will be litigated, it’ll be in the streets and more people will die. I’d love to be proved wrong, but it’s hard to see how else to read statements like this by Trump.

Because, as he ‘cleverly’ pointed out in his tweet, the vote was non-binding.

Have your cake and eat it thing.

They can broadcast that they voted to release the report, then shrug their shoulders when it gets released as 3,000 blacked-out pages.

Trump is worried about the report. Maria B. should have known Trump started the McCain feud on Saturday with his tweets. These reporters need to fact check him in real time. Trump said the media keeps asking me about it.

You have to be kidding me…

I like to pretend that people will not stand for it but will be approaching the White House with torches and pitchforks.

So according to reports, the Democrats on Capitol Hill expect the report to be something of a dud. Trump appears to be scared stiff.

Hmm. Sounds like no one has a clue.

Damn. I hope you’re proved wrong.

And that is why Mueller was the right man for the job.

When it comes down to it, very few people will go into the streets to protest Mueller’s report (except for Democrats if it doesn’t live up to expectations) or congressional hearings.

Trump is delusional. Again.

“I have a deputy, appoints a man to write a report on me, to make a determination on my presidency. People will not stand for it.”

With all due respect, president abomination, the report isn’t a determination on your presidency, it’s a report on your criminality. Truly patriotic citizens will not only stand for it, they demand it.

Well, in your case your presidency and your criminality are very similar though one has been around much longer than the other.

Yeah, certainly not the words of someone who thinks that the report is going to exonerate him. After all, if people shouldn’t stand for it, and it does exonerate him, why should we trust it any more than if it indicts…

I rather imagine Democrats are playing it safe, knowing how the media blasts everything out of proportion.

If they promised a Mars shot, and only landed on the Moon, the media would be trashing everything about how it’s a total failure.

If they only promise a trip to the Space Station, and get to the Moon, however…

I love the smell of desperation in the morning. He has no idea what’s in the report, but he’s clearly afraid. Good, he should be.

Speaking of which-- It’s Mueller Friday time again. Clock’s ticking, dude.

What’s the latest time of day he’s dropped an indictment?

Trump said: “I have a deputy, appoints a man to write a report on me, to make a determination on my presidency. People will not stand for it.”

It would be naive to imagine that the pressure on Rosenstein from the Republican party and its leader will have no effect on Mueller and Rosenstein.

I see no reason why Democratic officials should not be counteracting this by imposing pressure of their own. “If the AG or the OSC fails to disclose all significant matters relating to Russian assault on our democracy, people will not stand for it. A constitutional crisis will be upon us.”

I’ve got your pitchforks and torches right here, discounts for TPM members. I also have have a few hoes, or would that be redundant carrying more hoes to the WH?
