Who, exactly, are ‘his people’? Is he not the potus ( lower case intentional ) for the entire country? Guess not.
Regarding ACA being a complete disaster, ready to collapse:
Look at the map at this link, from a Kaiser Family Foundation piece.
It becomes very clear that state governments probably have the most to do with making ACA work, or not.
We’ve heard that it is a rural issue. It isn’t; look at Montana and Maine and New Mexico and Idaho and Eastern Oregon, etc.
It doesn’t have to be a red/blue issue, either; look at Arkansas, and Nebraska, and North Dakota.
ACA can be better, but it doesn’t take much to make it work if your state government cares enough to help ACA expand coverage.
He’s coming to my town on Monday. Will report back what we learn.
I’m going out on a limb here, but aside from a few Republicans such as Mitch McConnell, I think Dems hate the policy more than the people themselves…oh wait…the list in my mind is increasing…
Never mind.
Exactly. In fact in New York, the ACA has been a UUUUGE success.
Oh poor baby, will none of the Democrats vote for your horrible people-killing legislation? Of course since this is Fox, they probably followed the interview with a panel of idiots gushing about how Republicans bent over backwards to aid President Obama and how the government shutdowns and debt ceiling travesties were entirely on him.
I think Clinton Democrats are who Rump secretly wants to win over more than anybody.
Showing just how much the Reps hate their own voters
What we have here, is the predicted implosion of the GOP. Like the repeal and replace concept of health care, they failed to create a replacement for the remaining husk of our government. It was equally predictable that the supporters would not expect to lose the benefits of a functioning system of representative government. Even now those true believers will refuse to see any error on their part. The Tea Baggers, Hillary Haters, and assorted neo-Nazis will be much happier blaming liberals when they are standing in bread lines.
What do you do when you have republican majorities in both houses of congress but can’t get your legislation through? Blame the democrats.
As the Boomers die off, there will be the greatest transfer of wealth from one generation to another in history. The Republicans are desperate to prevent that from happening and to make sure that wealth gets transferred to the already wealthy.
The sick part is that THAT is a main complaint. So, if the tax breaks went to more right wingers he’d be OK with it? Probably.
Not One Democrat! The object of the Democratic Party is to make Trump a One term President. now where have I heard that. ha ha
Crazy that the issue fox pointed out is unfair tax cuts and not people losing healthcare. Not surprised but wow that is messed up.
I am very bothered by this idea that the threshold for a bill is whether his supporters like it, as opposed to whether it is good for the country. Presidents Obama and Clinton routinely did things to help people/states that didn’t vote for them. The ACA was a Democratic initiative but our bill helped everyone, even the Trumpers. This idea that it would be ok to hurt the people of Chicago but not the people of rural WV is abhorrent to me. It’s white supremacy and white privilege institutionalized into the DNA of the Republican Party.
Paul Ryan is going to go down in flames after this. Then he can step up and take that Koch-sponsored job (I mean the unelected position).
This nightmare needs to end and until the congress get around to impeach him, I am waiting for what nature (calling Karma) does to a out of shape 6’2", 270lb plus, pot bellied, agitated, 70 year old man who doesn’t sleep and consumes lots of fast food, fried chicken, and charred well done steaks.
More important, nothing is ever his fault. Classic.
Conservatives always brutalize their own supporters first, on the theory that it will make them cower, grovel and really kowtow to them.
Add those job cuts to Trump’s extreme cuts in government, we have high unemployment again. And there will be subsequent cuts to state government when there are few federal regulations to meet. A lot of government jobs for the aging will disappear as a consequence of Bannon’s scary governing philosophy.
