Discussion: Trump Acknowledges Repeal Bill Wouldn't Be Great For His Supporters

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that Hillary voters won’t be hurt by the Republican plan-some will. But overall they will be hurt less, being more urban and college-educated and thus more likely to have employer-provided insurance.

Oh, I know … but they don’t. :smirk: (IOW: LIE!)

Trump has no principles and is as wiggly as a slimy eel. Wait. He IS a slimy eel!

'C; it’s those shiny doodads flashing, that turns our eyeballs from WHAT this crook is up to. He;s sneaky.
We’re keeping score and YOU WON’T HAVE A SECOND TERM. Hell it’s going to take a lot of luck for you to make to your second year.

All the money he’s gutting from different programs is headed somewhere else. He’s has got his eyeballs fixed on taking it home with him. Follow the money honey. Earmarked money is easily traced and there are watch dog groups watching every move he makes.

BRING HIM HIS GOLD…

I watched a few minutes of his speech ( recording from CSPAN ). Watch the guy to the right of Donald, he doesn’t look like a fervent trump supporter…

TPM should have linked to this article instead of the Bloomberg one, it’s much better:

THE attack and the blaming of democrats has just begun…just as i predicted it would.

the puppet doesnt have a clue what is in the bill and doesnt intend to learn…if the repigs in the senate get some additional medicaid money and the house gets additional small cuts in the tax credits this turkey will pass.

because nothing will stop the tax cuts for the rich and the medicaid cuts from happening.

then watch how the cry turns into it being the democrats fault it is so bad a bill.

That’s always been a given.

But wait till you get to the part of the interview where Carlson starts asking him about wiretaps in Trump Towers. Its the rantings of a delusional, senile, old man. He saw the word “wiretap” in the NYT…he heard the word “wiretap” on Fox. So clearly that meant Obama had a wiretap up on him. Because he saw the word like…twice!..in a 24 hour period. He then proceeds to devolve into how horrible all the network news is and brag about how awesome he was on The Apprentice. And even Carlson is a bit flabbergasted. When Tucker tries to gently ask…but you’re the President, you can just ask the intelligence agencies…Trump responds with "I am. But Baier on Fox said “wiretaps”, so there you go.

Personally, I think the wiretap thing really got to him, because he knows if there was a wiretap up, his goose is cooked. Not just regarding Russian contacts, but all sorts of conversations that would destroy his image.

Well, it’s at least good to see this asked and admitted on Fox News. I don’t know what good it would do in the grand scheme of things but if a few people who voted for him start seeing him for the real monster he is then it’s a net positive, albeit small.

They hate Republicans because you lie about literally goddamned everything, all in an attempt to ruse the working class into shoveling money into the pockets of the wealthy. Case in point: the GOPs healthcare bill, which as Trump even admits won’t benefit his own voters but has been shown to benefit people the higher you go up on the income scale. Yeah, we hate Republicans because their sole mission is wrecking our lives so that Trump’s cabinet members can buy one more yacht. And the bolded part would never happen, so the whole quote is a moot point.

“Trump Acknowledges Repeal Bill Wouldn’t Be Great For His Supporters.”

He went on to say, “But that’s alright. I got what I wanted from those fools. Too bad for them.”

Our wonderful new Healthcare Bill is now out for review and negotiation. ObamaCare is a complete and total disaster - is imploding fast!

“Wonderful,” but wouldn’t be good for his supporters. Because…the Democrats had no hand in the bill.

Forget the Fool In Chief, but this whole if Democrats will would just work with us line is beginning to sound to me like Congress is in an abusive relationship, “If the Dems would do what we want them to do we wouldn’t have to hurt them or the kids.”

Preshitident Trump has not read the TrumpCare bill and has not contributed an iota to it. He is just the same groper, grabber, conman, thief, sexual predator, accused child rapist and liar he was before he was elected.

I certainly can’t speak for all Democrats, but we don’t waste our time hating Trump or even the other Republicans, we are too busy trying to improve the lives of people other than the filthy rich.

Yes, he’s boxed in. He can’t help his supporters and simultaneously keep conservatives on board.

So he’ll do what he does best. Blame Obama and hope nobody notices the POS that is Trumpcare.

Example of how useless and frustrating NPR news has become:

While the Congressional Budget Office has not yet offered a forecast of how many people would gain or lose coverage under the House Republican plan, it’s likely to fall short of Trump’s goal of universal coverage.

NPR news is like quick rolled oats boiled in plain water for 3 hours and then served chilled.

We can multi-task.

Also consider the medical people currently serving those 24 million people. There will be massive job cuts where we have seen job increases over the past 7 years.

Those youngsters who have parents who are forced to go without health insurance because they can’t afford the price hikes of at least 13 grand a year will lose out on their inheritance when one of their parents develops cancer or something else major. Medical bankruptcies will be more common.
Could be they might even have to end up taking care of them and helping them out with a place to live until they are old enough to go to the nursing home on the taxpayer dime. Providing their state has enough money in their Medicaid block grant to pay for their nursing care. I can see the ad already… I lost my inheritance, my folks moved in with me, my wife had to quit her job to help care for dad, but I saved 20% on my health insurance policy. We’re still winning with Trump!
