This phrasing is such a tell. He’s answering as if the question is “if i were to ask you if the WH helped with this memo, what would you say?” And even qualifies it with “as so far as I know,” as if to say “it’s possible, but i have no direct knowledge”
Is there some way this can be blamed on Republican’s lack of vetting? Is this what they do in their Republican Winter Retreat remove the gene that controls vetting, scrutinizing, investigative abilities?

Call me a cock-eyed optimist, but I’m beginning to think this whole memo thing is not going to be the first time one of Devin Nunes schemes didn’t spectacularly blow up in his face and cover the entire Trump regime in shit after all.

But her seniority and credentials made her the ideal person to blow up the Glenn Simpson charade, and she has set the template for every countermove that’s going to be necessary from here on out.

Revealed today! Devin Nunes spells “Vend Ennuis”
They’re like little kids who think they’re being clever when they speak in Pig Latin. Huckabee Sanders had a similar denial today saying how she wasn’t aware of any collusion between the Whitehouse and Nunes regarding the memo. There was something about the way she said it that made me think the lie of omission was that she didn’t have direct knowledge of it and purposefully didn’t want to know so it didn’t really count as a lie.
It’s all part of the plausibility deniability game where they send people on TV who are intentionally ignorant of what’s going on, and they’re just speaking on their own behalf and not for Trump or his Administration.
A losers argument
Devin Nunes was part of the Trump transition, that alone taints everything does.
Schiff has already given the proper response:

I would expect him to do as @hoagie suggests and “Pull a Feinstein on them” if he gets voted down in committee after the DoJ review.
