Discussion: TRANSCRIPT: Nunes Hedged When Asked About WH Involvement With Memo

This is Sarah’s liesfest (it’s in Josh’s blog)

That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking. If the Repubs release theirs, the Dems should release theirs. The Dems have to fight for our country here.

Ah. I knew I saw it somewhere but didn’t see it on the homepage before I posted. I read so much news that I sometimes lose track of where I see stuff.

One of the big tells is how unsure of herself she seems. She’s normally so arrogant when she’s pushing back, but I don’t think she’s a natural liar at all and doesn’t seem comfortable with this. If it weren’t true, she’d have been impugning the integrity of anyone who would even imply such a thing. Instead, she seems to be hiding behind a “I personally don’t know it’s true” sort of lie, but seems to know how sketchy it is. Or maybe I’m just reading too much into it.

What a useless tool Nunes is. But that is probably offensive to useless tools everywhere.

Amen, brother maximus, amen.

That’s just your perspective. I’m sure Trump thinks Nunes is a pretty useful tool. Maybe his Russian handlers do as well.

Sure.

But he is still a useless tool. He is so transparently inept and stupid that this will blow up on Trump/Russian handlers.

Perhaps her self deception is finally breaking down. You would think this has all degenerated to the point where even a totally delusional syncopathic drudge would start to squirm.

I said maybe.

And the main thing is that Nunes is buying them time. Time for what? Who knows. But every day that passes is another day that Republicans are more convinced that this insane theory is true.

Nunes responses to the Democrats questions, indeed all his public statements are the mealy mouthed ramblings of a quintessential ass-kisser. This whole thing has clearly been coordinated with Trump and his enforcer thugs: Miller, and now apparently Kelly., who apparently has no shame whatsoever.

Double negative is intentional.

I think the conversation inside the Russian embassy went like this:

“This is excellent intelligence on Russians who have given CIA information Agent COWBELL has given. Have Nunes, er, COWBELL do up big memo claiming to have proof of Deep State conspiracy and make big production of releasing.”

“Nunes? Are you sure, Comrade Station Chief? Everything Nunes touches blows up in face and covers Republican allies with shit!!”

“I know this, but maybe this time will work. Must be first time for everything, Da?”

But nyet. Not this time.

This transcript is remarkable. The Dems’ arguments for not releasing the GOP memo, or at least releasing the minority memo together with the majority’s, are clear, succinct and compelling. I counted one genuine effort by any GOP member to attempt to defend what they’re doing, and Schiff annihilated him in rebuttal. Then they just went ahead and voted to scuttle minority memo anyway. No objective person could read this and come away thinking the GOP’s process isn’t irreparably tainted.

Not dissing you here, brother doctorbiobrain.

Nunes is clearly trying to gum up the works–Likely for Donnie and Russians. He has closer ties to Russian than people are aware of:

Ha! Looks like the republican party has added a second requirement/option (?) to becoming a party spokesperson.

  1. Will you lie to the press? (Huckabee Sanders, Romney Daniels, Spicy)
  2. Will you assault the press if we find them annoying? Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-Mont.)

From the Maddow Blog:

Despite evidence that Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-Mont.) lied to the public and the police about his physical assault on a journalist last year, the National Republican Congressional Committee has asked him to lead a communications workshop for other Republicans.(Guardian U.S., Joanna Walters)

But so what, and to what end? The basejobs can be made to believe whatever they want them to believe with no prep. They’re all Ingsoc Outer Party drones at this point. So why all this time and effort devoted to doing stuff that gains them no yardage? Are they really so lost to reality that they think they’re accomplishing anything with the people who pay no attention?

Imagine the interference and weasley behavior if Nunes hadn’t recused himself.

I can’t with these people. The lies and gyrations and blatant bull crap are so redundant they are making my eyes cross.
