Discussion: 'Train Wreck': Lawyers For Past Presidents Gawk At Trump Legal Chaos

The Reagan administration sold anti-aircraft missile to Iran, right in the middle of a US led boycott. And survive they did.

“Cyber assault”?

Better yet “state sponsored sabotage of the voting process”.

Also, MSNBC just ran comments by Nixon and Pence about ending the Watergate investigation and that by Mueller.

They were almost identical. And, boy, Steve Schmidt can not stand Pence, who he says acts like a butler at Mar-a-Lago. Ouch.

Cyber is too soft a word - way overused today.

Is it contagious?

Attempted to overthrow this country’s government by means of sabotage of our electoral process. It’s long I know.

And sent military aircraft technicians with fake British passports to work on Iran’s fleet of F-15s.

You guys are doing great. I like the Russian terms myself, just so we don’t forget the founder of the feast, but certainly the tone you’re striking is serious enough. ID is sure right that “meddling” doesn’t get it.

About fucking time:
[/quote]And from today at 3:10 Eastern:

(CNN)House Speaker Paul Ryan is backing House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes in his latest feud with the Justice Department, brushing aside concerns that disclosing certain information could endanger national security and once again blessing his fellow Republican’s controversial tactics.

Ryan, who spoke with Nunes this week, argued that his demand for documents related to the Russia investigation is “wholly appropriate” and should be complied with.
“This request is perfectly appropriate, within the scope of the committee’s investigation. And I hope and I believe and expect that they will be complied with,” Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican, said Thursday.

Yet I see now that Ryan is backing Nunes in his quest for the documents.

Paulie boy, I hope your days are numbered as well.

Someone should ask Trey Gowdy about this…especially in light of his recent actions/comments regarding the Special Counsel and its investigation.

Minor correction - I understand many of the deplorables will believe what they’re told to believe, but evidence is mounting that many Republicans in Congress and the party get where they’re at and are “playing along” (and will continue to do so for as long as possible).

It really will take an electoral bloodbath this Fall to shake them out of their trees. Signs are positive, but it’s a long way to go, so let’s hope things continue to develop as they have been. It really is our only hope with these cynical monsters…

Train wreck, my ass!
This is the Titanic being hit by a Boeing 747 filled with C-4 plastic explosive in the middle of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.

“civic sabotage”?

That’s salvageable. You just have to stick the landing.

And I could be wrong. But I see several vitally important differences. Among them, in Drumph’s case, is that we’re not talking about a single unlawful operation, we’re talking about a dozen different things, starting with conspiring with a hostile foreign power to influence this country’s election. Everywhere you look, the Drumph administration is corrupt, and inept. People in Reagan’s administration were indicted and convicted, it will be worse for Drumph. And, unless something serious changes before November, Congress will look very different from anything Reagan ever faced.

Oliver North was, on some level, a sympathetic villain; none of the asshats around Drumph will do nearly so agood a job being fall-guys.

As Ms. Sneed suggests, this is a train wreck, albeit a not very well organized one.

I always take these things with a grain of salt, but I’m putting it out there anyway:

BREAKING: A GOP Hill staffer just told me she was instructed today to keep her distance from Devin Nunes, his staff and the GOP House Intel Cmte staff, because it looks like they are targets "of multiple ongoing investigations by Special Counsel Mueller's office/FBI and the DoJ."

OOPS!
I just saw that the Scott Dworkin Tweet had already been posted by george_spiggott in a previous comment.
Sorry, George!
I read the comments from the bottom up instead of the top down. I guess it’s my progressive nature. LOL!
